How to make people like works more creatively?

Whether a portrait photography can attract people, besides "good-looking", "creativity" is another important indicator. So how do you make your portrait photography more creative?

Today, Skillmaster will introduce a creative photography killer-crystal ball, as well as its usage, supporting skills and precautions. Want to make more interesting works? Then don't miss the next content!

1. fills the whole screen.

You can try to shoot close to the crystal ball, make it fill the whole picture, and make the imaging inside the ball the only shooting object. If you want to shoot this theme well, you need to pay attention to these technical points.

Put the characters in the middle.

The characteristics of crystal ball imaging are very similar to those of fisheye lens-the edge will be strongly deformed, but the center deformation is very small. So it's best to put the model in the center of the picture.

It is best to take a more "tight" posture, such as sitting and lying down, to avoid unnatural deformation of the body parts of the characters at the edge of the crystal ball.

Standing posture: the head and feet are obviously deformed.

Sitting posture: located in the center of the picture, with little deformation.

You can also take pictures of your chest and upper body. Starting from the chest, let the face (especially the eyes) fall in the center of the sphere and then focus on the eyes, and the shooting effect is also quite good:

Control the distance of human ball

The distance between the figure and the sphere is the most important parameter to be adjusted.

If you get too close, the face will occupy the whole sphere, causing the edge to deform and look like a mirror:

And if the distance is a little farther, people will look too small to see their faces at all, which is only suitable for taking portraits of the environment:

Choose the right lens

When shooting, you need to put the sphere between the figure and the lens, try to cover the figure with the sphere, or blur it, so that the audience can only notice the refraction imaging on the crystal ball.

In other words, this theme has certain requirements for the blur ability of the lens. It is best to choose a telephoto lens, a macro lens with strong blur ability, or a fixed-focus portrait lens with a large aperture value to ensure a good blur effect on the premise that the distance between the person and the sphere and the lens is not too far.

2. Act as an image element

When the background is beautiful (or interesting), you can try to reduce the proportion of the crystal ball and include more scene information in the picture.

The picture ratio of the ball is generally between 10%-30%. Compared with "crystal ball filling composition", it is necessary to use a lens with a shorter focal length; Because the proportion of the characters' pictures will be very small, it is best to pose some postures with a sense of existence and exaggeration, and the effect will be better.

This kind of play often needs to create a feeling of "virtual and real echo", so it is necessary to keep certain background information, which determines that the aperture value used should not be too large.

You can try to find the most suitable aperture value from f/4 or so, which is neither clear nor too vague.

Act as a portrait prop

The two games mentioned above are based on imaging in a crystal ball; In fact, it can also be used as a foil prop in portrait photography, allowing people to interact with it and create various interesting ways of playing.

You can simply let the character stare at the ball with the ball and simply "interact":

You can also use the refraction and reflection of the crystal ball to play dislocation photography.

The surface of a crystal ball is highly reflective. As long as you let the light source shine on its side, the crystal ball tends to reflect rather than refract, which becomes a mirror-like effect:

In addition, the crystal ball itself is a mysterious prop. You can use it to play a COSPLAY;; Or simply use light painting to create magical and cool special effects:
