How to shoot a food lamp?
Soft natural light is the first choice for food photography. Whether you eat at home or in a restaurant, you should choose a window seat, but don't let the sun shine directly on the food, or there will be a heavy shadow.
Also pay attention to avoid other brightly colored objects around the dishes as much as possible to avoid color distortion. For example, if there is a red bag next to it, then the dishes will be set off in red.
shooting angle
There are two factors to consider, and I will talk about them separately.
1, food angle
It is the angle between the lens and the food, mainly depending on the characteristics of the food itself. Most dishes are about 45%.
When we sit at the table, it looks natural to see the perspective of food. Besides, this photo can only be taken from this angle. Because the container is a relatively high cage, if the shooting angle is too low, the food will be blocked by the cage, so it will not stand out.
The layered food such as hamburgers and hot dogs is more suitable for low-angle plane shooting, because it can highlight the characteristics of the food itself. Imagine, if you shoot from top to bottom, it's probably a piece of bread, right?
Of course, some foods are more suitable for shooting at high altitude. For example, dishes with symmetrical shapes and weak three-dimensional sense. Or the dishes pay more attention to the overall layout and have a strong formal beauty on the plane.
In short, the choice of angle should be based on the principle of expressing the characteristics of food.
2. Light incidence angle
The main way to shoot food is to choose a side backlight with a slightly higher light level, which can make the outline of food stand out from the background without losing the three-dimensional sense. Of course, the shaded part needs to be filled with some light.
Appropriate arrangements
Try to keep the desktop clean and tidy, and you can shoot some simple props. Props have two main functions, one is to balance the picture composition, and the other is to explain information. For example, the tableware effect in the lower right corner.
Don't make the props too complicated, or you will steal the show. In addition, props should be intrinsically related to dishes. For example, salmon sashimi can be served with a glass of sake, but steak with Erguotou is the opposite.
facility request
Most mobile phones are ok, but pay attention to the choice of lens. It is best if your mobile phone has a 2-3 times zoom lens, because the photos taken by this focal lens are more in line with our human vision in perspective and look more natural.
