What is underwater photography? Does it look nice? What are the skills?

Underwater photography is one of the methods of trick photography (image) in film and television, that is, photography (image) in water. Photographers carry cameras and diving equipment with protective covers and dive into the water to shoot directly. Underwater photography can truly reflect underwater scenes, such as the life of aquatic plants, geological data of seabed and riverbed, archaeological discoveries and so on. Underwater photography is widely used in scientific research, military technology, sports and teaching.

But now underwater photography is generally about getting married and taking underwater wedding photos. Pay attention to taking underwater wedding photos.

1.

The shooting time of underwater photography is very important. It is best to shoot underwater in sunny noon, because at this time, the sun is at the top, the sun shines almost vertically on the water surface, and there is little reflection, and the light in the water is also the strongest. Therefore, the outdoor swimming pool or seaside on sunny days should be the first choice. And if you have to choose an indoor swimming pool to shoot, you must work hard on lighting treatment if you want to take beautiful underwater photos.

2.

In order to avoid the lack of layering and high contrast in the photos taken along the light, try to avoid the camera shooting vertically downward. Although underwater photography needs good illumination, it should be side light or side backlight, so that the photos taken are well-defined and have moderate contrast. The best shooting angle is as high as or lower than the subject.

3.

To know that there are suspended particles in transparent water, try to get close to the subject with a wide-angle lens. Because the farther away from the subject, the less clear the photo is. There is also an auxiliary light source. If you dive to a depth of about 10 meter, only a light source such as a flash can correctly restore the color of the photo.

4.

Attention should be paid to the refraction of light by water. As we all know, the underwater distance is not equal to the actual distance. Because the refraction of water to light is about 1.33 times that of air to light, the object in water looks 1.25 times larger than the actual volume, and the scene at 0.75 meters underwater looks about 1 meter, so don't have an illusion when focusing manually.

5.

Before going into the water, photographers can shoot to see if there are any other problems about water quality, so as to find them early, negotiate them early and solve them early. In addition, as long as it moves underwater, it will produce a large number of bubbles, because a large number of bubbles will affect the clarity of the finished product. Therefore, you should avoid a large number of bubbles caused by big movements, and the photographer should shoot after the newcomer's movements become stable. However, it is not excluded that some newcomers like to use big bubbles to create some effects. Therefore, it is necessary to decide whether bubbles are needed according to the needs of newcomers, and it can also be achieved through PS in the later period.
