... how about getting started with Nikon d3200? What is the practical significance of high pixels?
2. Nikon D3200 is equipped with a half-frame (apsc format) sensor, which has a good picture quality and has nothing to do with getting started. At present, there are only three kinds of digital SLR cameras: medium frame, Quan Huafu and half frame (there were 4/3 frames in the previous digital SLR, such as Olympus E5), while the sensor frame and control belong to two systems. As long as the control level is good enough, the half-frame SLR can also be called the flagship SLR (such as Nikon D500). Therefore, the "entry" of Nikon D3200 only refers to the relatively common control level, such as focusing speed, focusing accuracy, continuous shooting ability, endurance and so on, but in terms of image quality, there is no obvious gap with other half-frame SLR cameras including half-frame;
3. The practical significance of high pixel is that it can output a larger frame (enlarge a larger size). In addition, high pixels do not help the image quality, but will affect the imaging quality;
4. The quality of digital imaging includes sensor ADC technology (analog-to-digital conversion technology) and SNR technology (signal-to-noise ratio technology). The A/D conversion technology of sensors is mainly electronic technology, which has little to do with pixels. On the premise of the same A/D technology (the same horizontal line), SNR technology is the core factor affecting digital imaging.
5. The signal-to-noise ratio is the ratio of effective signal to ineffective noise in the photoelectric conversion process, and the core that affects the signal-to-noise ratio is pixels per inch. Among them, the total number of pixels on the sensor is related to the size of the output frame, and the higher the pixel, the larger the size that can be enlarged. However, in the case of the same sensor area, the fewer pixels, the lower pixels per inch, and the larger the area of a single pixel, the better the photosensitivity (photosensitivity) of a single pixel, or in the case of the same total number of pixels, the larger the sensor area and the larger the area of a single pixel, the better the photosensitivity of a single pixel. If the photosensitivity of a single pixel of the sensor is better, there will be less noise (a by-product of photoelectric conversion), and the total number of noise will naturally be less. Of course, if the pixel per inch is too low, although the noise is well controlled, the ability to capture details will decline, so balance is the most important, not the higher the pixel, the more important it is. Some flagship cameras put the balance between the total number of pixels and the number of pixels per inch first. Therefore, under the premise that the sensor area and sensor A/D technology are unchanged, the higher the pixel, the worse the signal-to-noise ratio and the worse the imaging quality, but the larger the frame that can be output;
6. In photography, there is a misunderstanding that "the higher the pixel, the richer the details and the finer the picture quality". First of all, exquisiteness is the actual reflection of definition, and whether the picture quality is exquisite or not is closely related to the display carrier. In the case of the same display carrier, there is no absolute possibility that the higher the pixel, the finer it is. If viewed on the 1920X 1080P display, the 1080P display has more than two million light-sensitive display points, and each light-sensitive point can display (or light up) one pixel, so the 1080P display can only display more than two million pixels, and the extra pixels (no matter how many pixels). Similarly, the perfect display of 4K display requires more than 8 million pixels, while printing A3 size photos with 300DPI resolution according to retina standard requires16 million pixels, and high pixels are not helpful for fineness. Secondly, on the basis of the same sensor area, the higher the pixel, the richer the details captured. However, it is also limited by the display carrier or printing size, so it is difficult for high pixels to capture more details and be seen by human eyes. Only in two cases can the advantages of high pixel detail be realized. One is the display carrier with higher resolution, such as 4K, 6K or even 8K, 10K displays that may appear in the future. Second, in the case of screenshot viewing, once a part of the picture is cut off, it may be difficult to support the 2 million pixels required for 1080P display or the 8 million pixels required for 4K display, and the details will be lost or even mosaic will appear, so high pixels have the advantage of imaging details;
7. Nikon D3200 has a good picture quality, but the control level is entry-level; In addition to the significance of outputting larger frames, high pixels are not only helpful to the imaging quality, but also have the side effect of reducing the image quality. If you don't need to output large photos, high pixels are meaningless.
