How to make a portfolio

The production process of the portfolio is as follows:

First, the cover:

Although the cover is not the most important compared with the content, it is like a person's face, which often affects the teacher's first impression of you.

There are three ways to express the general cover:

1. Minimum program

Large blank space or uniform background color, generally pure text (and small text) composition, I hope the cover is pure full-page color. Minimalism has very strict requirements on the style, size, spacing, position and width of the words on the page. But minimalist flow is definitely the first weapon of forced assembly. Conservative is always not easy to make mistakes, put the title, name and supplementary information on the cover, and then choose a good font on a white background.

2. Simple texture

Choose some textures, which can be related to a design, express your understanding of a design and turn the cover into something informative and valuable.

3. Small logo

You can combine your own interests and add some simple patterns to express your own characteristics.

Directory:

The catalogue is folio. Put the catalogue in your right hand and leave a space in your left hand to write some brief information about the catalogue or your key information, education and work experience, which can be combined with the catalogue. Organize the project order by headlines and subheadings, and group the works. Each group has something to enjoy.

Combined with the pictures of each scheme, the scheme is visually expressed, and at the same time, the schemes are sorted and classified, including space architecture, city and geometry, sorted by directory, and there are many information points.

Typesetting:

The sub-picture can be reduced and put on one page. There should be a logical, parallel or progressive relationship between graphics. Color, not too complicated. Black, white and gray are the most classic colors. On this basis, you can add one or two colors that highlight the personality of the project, not too much. Fonts are Arial, KievitOT and so on. , typesetting in the design.

Project start page:

In a portfolio, it is best to use the same layout or the same layout start page for each project, such as the picture on the left below. Each project has a project model with a translucent text description next to it. Or in the example on the right, use cross-page presentation to string all the items together.
