Feel Peking Opera Up Close: Go to Beijing Liyuan Theatre to see the opera.
Liyuan Theater is the first teahouse-style theater that Beijing Qianmen Hotel and Beijing Peking Opera Theatre cooperated on June 5438+0990 and June 5438+00. Liyuan Theater is located in Qianmen Hotel, Hufangqiao, Xuanwu District. Won the title of "Best Night Activity Place" in Beijing Tourism Forbidden Cup for seven consecutive years. The theater consists of three parts: performance hall, exhibition hall and exhibition hall. The performance hall consists of a theater stage and an auditorium. The stage is 8m high,12m wide and 7m deep. On both sides are couplets written by dramatists Weng Ouhong and Liu Bingsen. There are eight large Peking Opera masks and 14 Peking Opera painted screens around the auditorium, and there are three 800-seat ticketing areas, which are similar to the traditional old theater customs. Audiences can enjoy traditional Chinese opera performances and taste various Beijing snacks and famous teas. In the exhibition hall, there is a display of the development history of Beijing opera for more than 200 years. In the exhibition hall, you can buy Beijing opera handicrafts and souvenirs, and you can also wear costumes and draw faces as a souvenir. The main audience of the theater is foreign tourists, and the plays are mainly discounted plays. The audience hall has an electronic display screen, which can display Chinese and English lyrics. Former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, former Japanese Prime Minister Junshu Kaibu and Estonian President Lennart Meri all enjoyed performances here.
Peking Opera is the quintessence of China, but in this busy age, except for a few opera fans and elderly opera fans, people seldom have time to see a Peking Opera.
When I arrived in Beijing this winter vacation, my friend suggested to feel the precious heritage left by my ancestors. I have known about Beijing Liyuan Theater for a long time. First, the ticket price is very high. Second, I don't have time every time. What a coincidence that I can't refuse this time.
Show at 7: 30 every night. At night, we followed the navigation and the car drove into a yard. You can't even see this is a theater when you get off the bus. I saw a door, knocked a few times, and a staff member really came. Ask her if this is the Liyuan Theatre? Get a positive answer, this is the back door of the theater. We enter through the back door, which is a small hall on the side of the theater. There is a shop selling Peking Opera art, which is full of Peking Opera masks, poker, colored puppets and so on.
We just looked around and then turned to the front hall. The front hall is very open, and it also reflects Peking Opera culture everywhere. I didn't appreciate it, so I filled my stomach in the restaurant on the other side before opening. A few people ate half a roast duck, plus a few Beijing-style dishes, shredded pork in Beijing sauce and so on.
At 7: 00, 10 enters the site. On both sides of the gate are couplets inscribed by dramatists Weng Ouhong and Liu Bingsen: Chinese quintessence shocks Chinese and foreign guests, and operas sing ancient and modern feelings. The theater doesn't feel too big. Different from other theaters, in the so-called VIP area near the stage, there are two rows of 6-8 square tables, with snacks such as snowballing, Aiwowo, Fuling cake, sugar orange and of course a big bowl of tea.
We sat down at the square table and saw that the overlord of Chu was putting a POS on the stage, and the audience was crowded with photographers. After waiting for a while, the play began. Tonight's performance is a fork in the road, my daughter scattered flowers and farewell my concubine.
Sanchakou was a general of the Song Dynasty, Jiao Zan. He was framed by a traitor and sent to Liujiadian in Sanchakou for the night. In order to rescue, the chivalrous man followed him all the way and lived in this shop. The shopkeeper and his wife are both chivalrous men, mistaking Ren as an enemy and fighting in the shop at night. Only when Jiao Zan heard the news did they clear up the misunderstanding. Ren He imitated their fighting and psychology on the stage in an opaque situation. Although I didn't sing the lyrics, I showed the character incisively and vividly.
When the Tathagata was lecturing, she learned from a distance that Vimalakīrti was ill in Perak City, and ordered her to offer flowers in Vimalakīrti's ward. In accordance with the Buddha's instructions, the goddess came to Vimo Buddha's room with a flower basket, sprinkled the bouquet on everyone, read the Buddha's instructions, and then returned to the west. The fairy in this performance is a little fat, but she is really beautiful, especially when dancing with long ribbons. Ribbons fluttered in the air and slipped out of the track, just like fairies dancing in the air.
Everyone is familiar with Farewell My Concubine. It is said that Xiang Yu, the overlord of Chu, was foolhardy and headstrong. He listened to the false surrender of Li Zuoche sent by Han Xin. He rose up to attack Han regardless of the dissuasion of people and his beloved concubine. Xiang Yu led his army straight into Jiulishan, and was trapped by Han Xin's plan to lure the enemy. Xiang Yu knew that the tide was over, stroking Wu Zhui's horse and sighing, and Yu Ji drew his sword and danced. When the Han army was in a hurry, Yu Ji was afraid that she would miss her trip and drew her sword to kill herself, so as never to miss Xiang Yu. Xiang Yu then led the troops to war, suffered a crushing defeat and committed suicide in Wujiang River. What impressed me the most was Yu Ji's double sword dance, which was very beautiful and calm. Unfortunately, the tragic fate of the characters in the play and the love-hate relationship between Farewell My Concubine are embarrassing.
All three scenes are excerpts, and the total performance time is 1 hour. It feels just right. It's fun and not boring. It's over.
