Master Guangquan was awarded the abbot of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou.

Every believer has a carnation.

Pay tribute to the abbot of Guangquan.

It's an honor. Yesterday, I was invited to participate in the promotion ceremony and celebration.

As required, the media entered at 7: 30, and at 6: 30 in the morning, I arrived at Lingyin Temple. I thought I was early enough. In fact, I have contacted many believers, most of whom are waiting quietly and have plans to help.

From entering the temple gate, along the way, the roadside was covered with yellow Buddha flags, the feet were full of blooming flowers, and even the stair handrails were tied with ribbons, which was much more solemn and festive than Lingyin Temple on weekdays.

When I entered Lingyin, I first asked the master on duty for an interview card, and I also got the schedule of promotion ceremony and celebration.

At 7: 45, the envoy went to Hangzhou Buddhist College to meet the great monk Guangquan.

At eight o'clock, the elders in the mountains took their seats in the Dharma Hall;

At 8: 20, the monk went to the mountain gate;

At 8:45, the Daxiong Hall, the elders sent seats;

At nine o'clock, the Dharma Hall, the big monk ascended the throne;

At 9:40, the elders in the mountains took a group photo in front of the pharmacist temple;

10:30, in front of Daxiong Hall, the abbot ascended the throne, and then ended.

Master said the ascension ceremony was very grand. From the moment the monk entered the mountain gate, the throne of the Hall of Great Heroes and the throne of the Dharma Hall were the three most interesting parts.

At 7: 30, believers holding yellow carnations lined up on both sides of the trail, waiting for the arrival of abbot Guangquan. There were too many people, so I went back to the Hall of Heroes. There is a big screen in front of the hall, so I can watch the live broadcast.

Through the live broadcast on the screen, I watched the abbot of Guangquan walk through the mountain gate and slowly walk towards the Hall of Ursa Major. The believers around stood up, respectfully.

Before long, the team arrived. Far away, I first saw the sign in front of me, which said "Enter the courtyard" (also called entering the courtyard or entering the courtyard, referring to the new abbot entering a temple).

Then I saw the waiter holding incense trays, stoves, lanterns and treasure covers; Then came abbot Guangquan.

After the abbot of Guangquan entered the Hall of Daxiong, I followed him to the entrance of the hall and watched from a distance that the elder Yichao of Hong Kong offered his seat to the abbot of Guangquan. Some believers standing at the door, with their hands folded, followed the mage in the temple to worship.

After the delivery, abbot Guangquan went to Yakushido to burn incense, worship Buddha and show off. After that, it's time to go to the dharma court for promotion. At this time, the "Jinyuan" card held in front of the team was also changed to "promotion".

However, the Dharma Hall did not allow the media to enter the ceremony, so I went back to the big screen of Daxiong Hall to watch the live broadcast. About 50 minutes later, the ascension ceremony ended, and the abbot of Guangquan returned to the main hall to attend the ascension ceremony.

After the salute was fired at the celebration, various pieces of paper floated all over the floor, and many believers picked up several pieces and put them in their pockets. An aunt said that the promotion ceremony is a rare celebration, and elders from all over the country come to attend it, which is rarely seen on weekdays, so it can be a bit auspicious to pick up a few pieces of paper from the salute.

Yesterday morning, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou held a ceremony and celebration for the abbot to ascend to the throne of Guangquan (see note 1). Leaders from the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the United Front, religion and other relevant departments in various provinces and cities attended the meeting to give guidance, Buddhist elders, American, Canadian, Japanese, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and other eminent monks attended the meeting to congratulate, and more than 3,000 people from the four disciples came to watch the ceremony. The president of the Chinese Buddhist Association offered his seat to the abbot of Guangquan.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the ceremony for the abbot to ascend the throne of Guangquan was officially held. Lingyin Temple is full of flags, flowers, bells and drums, guests and auspicious solemnity.

Lingyin Temple was greeted by Master Jiyun and others on behalf of two groups (see Note 2) at the mountain gate (just a stone's throw to the west). Five eminent monks, Zhanru, Miaojiang, Daoci, Zhengci, Yinshun, Yizang and Miaoling, vice presidents of the Chinese Buddhist Association, presented clothes (see Note 3), beads (see Note 4) and bowls (see Note 5) to Master Guangquan respectively.

After the abbot of Guangquan made his statement, he slowly walked into the mountain gate under the protection of his elders and distinguished guests, and the believers bowed and crossed their hands along the way. The abbot of Guangquan burned incense, worshipped Buddha and lectured in front of Maitreya Bodhisattva and Wei Tuo Bodhisattva in Tianwang Temple. In Daxiong Hall, Hong Kong Yichao gave his seat to abbot Guangquan.

Subsequently, abbot Guangquan came to the Dharma Hall, and abbot Guangquan was given a seat by the chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association. The ascension ceremony will reach its climax, and the abbot of Guangquan will say, burn incense and show it (see note 10).

After the ascension ceremony, a grand celebration was held in front of the Ursa Major Hall.

Leaders of the Hangzhou Municipal Government, the Provincial People's Religious Committee, and representatives of the Chinese Buddhist Association and the elders of Overseas Mountain spoke at the celebration meeting. The new abbot, monk Quanquan, gave a thank-you speech.

The big monk in Guangquan said that Lingyin Temple is the key temple of Han Buddhism in China, and it is an important window for foreign exchange of Buddhism. It has an important position and influence in the history of Buddhism in Hangzhou. Deeply trusted by all walks of life, he was elected as the abbot of Lingyin Temple. It feels a great responsibility. Together with Lingyin Temple, it will love the country and religion, spread teachings, benefit the society and the people, build a "Southeast Buddhist country" for the new period, and realize national prosperity and social stability. 1. Ascending to the throne: In the Zen forest, the original intention was to invite a highly respected host to ascend to the throne to preach the Dharma. As an important part of the new abbot's admission ceremony to the academy is the theory of "attending classes", people turn to call the inauguration ceremony of the new abbot "attending classes".

2. Second-order public: In the ancient Zen forest, when the Buddhist temple and the Dharma Hall were formally assembled, the monks on both sides of the Buddhist temple and the Dharma Hall were in order, that is, the east order and the west order. Dongling chose a man who is proficient in the world as the governor; The western order chooses to learn morality and practice, which is the first. These two classes are also called two classes because they are centered on Buddhist temples and abbots in temples.

3. Clothing: Ancestral cassock.

4. Beads: Beads hanging around the neck.

5. Bowl: The monk eats and drinks when he walks.

6. Blowing dust: a tool for saying things.

7. Zhang Xi: It symbolizes the four truths and twelve karma of Buddhism.

8. Furniture: It is a cushion for meditation in India and a cushion for worshipping Buddha in China.

9. Ruyi: In ancient times, when a mage ascended the throne, he wrote the scriptures on Ruyi. Now, it symbolizes good luck.

10. Apocalypse: In Buddhism, it is called enlightenment to say that a monk is a disciple and a believer. Open, enlighten and enlighten each other; Show it and point it out to you. Buddhism pays attention to practicing personal testimony, which is also convenient to say. It is the understanding of the great virtue of a monk, which is very important for the practice of a good man and a woman.
