Learn photography from scratch at home during holidays. What is metering mode?

If you want to learn photography at home during the holiday, you must start with the most basic understanding of the camera. Today, let's talk about what metering mode is!

Photometric mode: Generally speaking, it is the way to test the camera's calculation of the brightness of the subject, so as to adjust the exposure value.

Evaluation metering: also called average metering/split metering/matrix metering/multi-split metering, etc. The framing picture is divided into several areas, and each area is measured independently, and then the average value is taken.

Spot metering: metering a point, usually not exceeding the center of the whole picture.

Partial metering: A certain part of the picture is metered, and the area outside this part is not metered, which can be regarded as a large spot metering.

Center focus average photometry: similar to evaluation photometry, it also measures the whole picture, but pays more attention to the central area of the picture (area A), and the area outside the central area (area B) is used as auxiliary photometry.
