Expectations for the Propaganda Department
This propaganda department has been established for almost a year. In the past year, I am grateful to the leaders of the Institute and the Youth League for their support and understanding of the Propaganda Department. It is everyone's Qi Xin's concerted efforts that have led to everyone's development. Here, I would like to take this opportunity to talk about the experience of the competent department since I took office, the situation of the department, my personal feelings and the feelings of the department officers, as well as my views and suggestions on the future development of the Propaganda Department.
Second, the management experience of the Propaganda Department
To tell the truth, when I first entered the Seventh Youth Federation, I was not fully prepared. When Mr. Liu suddenly put me in charge of the propaganda department, I didn't even know the staff in the department, which led to the embarrassment of starting work for a while. It was during this period that I was thinking about the management methods and construction direction of this department.
Because I didn't get any experience and help from the previous propaganda department, I wanted to copy the organization and management of the propaganda department of Xingzhi School, but I gave up after repeated thinking, because the nature of their work and the purpose they wanted to achieve were fundamentally different from the surrounding environment.
The first problem I want to solve is the organizational structure of the department. An efficient team should have a compact structure, a clear division of labor and close cooperation. So I consider dividing the department into three groups: blackboard group, notice group and manuscript group. The duty of the blackboard newspaper group is to publicize the large-scale activities of the college and the work of the party, government and military corps through windows, display boards and posters; The responsibility of the notification group is to handle the meeting notifications of various departments and the daily work of mass clubs, such as sleep check results and supervision of study style; The responsibility of the manuscript group is to use the school's radio, newspapers, internet and other media to publicize the Institute of Electrical Engineering and organize departmental documents.
The reason why the Propaganda Department didn't adopt the parallel grouping method last time was to prevent each group from passing the buck.
Then I consider the personnel of the department. Recruiting new people is really my helpless move. At the first departmental meeting, I was greatly stimulated by the laziness, irresponsibility and lack of discipline of the officers. So I decided to start over, which would give everyone a chance to make a two-way choice. The most important thing in personnel is the choice of team leader, the responsibility is the most important, and then the ability. When the team leader is selected, I will assign all the staff in the department to each group according to their personal advantages and abilities and the nature of their work. When everything was ready and the work could go on normally, my sleepless night for nearly half a month finally ended. Every team leader is very responsible and all officers are eager to learn.
So my focus at this time is to formulate departmental discipline, working principles and methods. The purpose is to form a departmental norm and process. This work continued until the second semester started, that is, in April this year. Because in addition to departmental discipline, everything else needs to be explored and improved in the work.
Third, the work of the Propaganda Department.
Generally speaking, the overall mental outlook of the department is very good. Everyone is diligent, can finish the task seriously, and have a very harmonious relationship with each other. Once they work, they will cooperate with each other with a smile. But we still have a lot to do. Diligence, but lack of innovation. Once you form a fixed routine, don't try to make a breakthrough. For example, the blackboard newspaper group, after learning one or two painting methods and artistic writing methods, uses them repeatedly, and has no desire to learn more skills; For example, the notification group is limited to completing the prescribed tasks at one time, and no one thought of using such a good opportunity provided by the college to improve their personal calligraphy level; For example, in the manuscript group, work always begins when tasks are assigned. Usually, I don't pay much attention to the surrounding or international and domestic news and take the initiative to write a manuscript. Because publicity needs to be timely and rapid, it will lose its effectiveness after it expires. If you wait until the task is assigned, it is estimated that it will expire. No one is aware of the necessity of improving personal writing ability. The propaganda department is a department with complicated tasks. There are things to do almost every day, and it is inevitable that the department will not feel bored. That's understandable. As long as the minister and the team leader can do it themselves, this feeling will soon pass and everyone can devote themselves to their work. However, some officials think that they are sophomores or they are very capable, and they shirk their tasks under various excuses. This kind of bad behavior of a very small number of people is likely to trigger a chain reaction within the department. In my personal experience, this kind of situation did happen (for example, in the propaganda department of Xingzhi in the first semester). The work of the propaganda department can't be done by the minister or several group leaders and officials only, unless these are superhuman, so everyone in the department must participate and can't condone any bad behavior.
Since the foundation of the Youth League Association, the propaganda department has participated in almost all the activities of the college, from the initial posters and display boards to the later achievements display and media publicity, such as girls' day, basketball match, graduation party and so on. At the same time, the department also independently or on behalf of the college participated in the "Electric Star" selection organized by the school, the painting and paper-cut photography contest to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March, and the "My Sunshine Mind" calligraphy poster exhibition board contest. Especially in commemorating the Long March, our department won the first individual prize. By participating in various activities, our department has been exercised, and the quality of posters and exhibition boards has improved compared with before, and the efficiency has also improved. But it also exposes many problems. Poster maintenance is not enough. The department has worked hard to make posters for one or two nights, and sometimes they are gone at noon, or even destroyed in less than ten minutes. Not to mention published sleep test results or informed criticism of some bad behaviors. Also, in participating in school activities, such as the "My Sunshine Mind" competition, our department spent a whole week preparing and even reworked many times to achieve high quality. When I handed in my works, my officers and I also compared the works of other colleges horizontally. Our college should be considered as high quality, but the result is very disappointing, and the reason is worthy of consideration by the department.
In addition to participating in activities, the Propaganda Department also has routine tasks. The publicity window of the Institute of Electrical Engineering is basically changed every month. In order to improve the quantity and quality of propaganda manuscripts in our hospital, at the end of March this year, our hospital set up a communication group to write press releases, broadcast manuscripts and literary manuscripts. Correspondents are composed of judges from each class of freshmen and sophomores, and the team leader is still the team leader of the manuscript group. After the establishment of the correspondent team, the number of manuscripts in our hospital has indeed increased a lot, but problems have followed. The number of manuscripts has gone up, but the quality has not, and the rate of Chinese manuscripts is still very low. I summarize the reasons as follows: 1, inadequate training of correspondents. Although teachers from the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of our school were invited to give lectures when it was first established, I think it is far from enough. 2. The management of correspondents is not strong. Since the establishment of the distribution group, correspondents have not been included in the official list of the Propaganda Department, nor have they been allowed to attend daily meetings, resulting in their weak sense of ownership. 3, the correspondent's own requirements are not strict. The propaganda department doesn't pay attention to it, and the manuscript is scribbled. Sometimes it is necessary to call one by one to urge the manuscript. Plagiarism is serious and the article has not been reprocessed. Although the correspondent was promised that everyone could get a comprehensive evaluation score, the effect was little and the enthusiasm was not high.
Four, my personal and department director's thoughts on the propaganda department.
I know that at the beginning of the establishment of the Propaganda Department, Mr. He, secretary of the General Party Branch, and Mr. Wang Fei, secretary of the Youth League Committee, had high hopes for me and this department, hoping to change the situation that the Propaganda Department had not done enough publicity before. What I want to say is that the success of the propaganda department can never be achieved by one person. It needs the unremitting efforts of a team, not just one session, but two or more sessions. What I am doing now, what I want to do is to give the department a culture and an atmosphere, so that everyone can truly feel that the Propaganda Department is a home and we can rely on it. As brothers and sisters, we can trust each other and form a set of working procedures. This program is effective and can avoid many problems in the department. Then give everyone a direction, how the propaganda department will develop in the future.
The following is also a list of suggestions made by some officials: 1. Since you have chosen this job, you should love it. As the saying goes, if you want to do it, you must do your best. Although the propaganda department is small, it affects the face of the college and the department. It controls the mouthpiece of the college, just like makeup, and graffiti is not allowed. 3. Cultivate your interest in work. What can't be done is boring, and I feel that the task is a burden. The most terrible thing is the dross of "achievement", that is, the quality of the finished works is poor. 4. Professional books and various advertising posters in the library can be used for reference. Actions speak louder than words. Insist on practicing writing every day, writing articles every day, reading more newspapers, and capturing things around you with keen eyes.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) My views and suggestions on the future of the Propaganda Department.
It is hoped that the department can set up a special outreach team, provide certain funds to the propaganda department, reward outstanding officers in the department and improve their enthusiasm. At the same time, reduce the number of journalists, select capable personnel and include them in the list of propaganda department officers. Departments buy professional books to improve the quality of personnel. The propaganda department should inherit. There are many good practices in the Propaganda Department this year, which should be kept and improved in the next session.
What I am most proud of in the propaganda department is that the officers in the department are very cute. I hope they can carry this spirit to the next session. Maybe this department didn't meet the college's expectations of the Propaganda Department, but I have to say that all the officers of the Propaganda Department worked hard, and they worked hard for the propaganda work of the college, which moved me. I hope that the college can issue letters of appointment to all the officers of the Propaganda Department at the end of this league meeting to encourage and thank them for their contributions to the college this year. I personally take full responsibility for the department's failure to live up to the expectations of the college.
