How to transport cut rose flowers?

Cut roses can be transported by container vehicles for short distances and often by air for long distances. Packaging and temperature control during transportation are very important. Cartons are the most common circulation of fresh cut flowers in China, but there are no temperature control conditions during transportation, and there are too many branches in each box, which squeeze each other and have poor freshness. Packaging should take less time, the incision should be wet rather than dry, and convection holes should be left around the carton to avoid high temperature and mildew in the center of the flower branches. It is best to have temperature control equipment to keep the optimum temperature of 0.5 ~ 2℃ during transportation, to prevent the quality of fresh cut flowers from declining due to high temperature in summer or low temperature in winter, and to keep the relative humidity of air at 95% ~ 98%.

For various reasons, sometimes fresh cut flowers often lose water and wilt during transportation. In order to restore its original posture, corresponding measures must be taken for first aid. The commonly used deep-water first aid method is to immerse fresh cut flowers in water, cut off 3 ~ 6 cm, then put them into a bucket with a suitable depth, and add clear water to the bucket until only the flower heads are exposed. Due to the pressure of water, the moisture in cut flowers keeps rising. Generally, after about 2 hours, the flowers that are given first aid in time can restore their original posture.
