The room was reserved in advance by local friends in Xiamen. Gallery Hotel is the largest chain inn brand on Gulangyu Island, with six hotels with different styles. The only one with a super-large parent-child room is Yuyuan Pavilion, which is also the highest end. The price of parent-child room is close to the standard room price of five-star hotel. As there are only two rooms, my friend reserved a room for me two weeks in advance.

There are many inns and homestays on the island, each with its own characteristics. The reason for choosing Gallery Hotel is simple, because it is a hotel famous for its paintings, and it is said that its boss is also a painter. Every shop in the gallery hotel has paintings, and every room is named after the painter.

We live in the Yuyuan Pavilion on Fuxing Road, formerly known as Monet Garden Pavilion. I heard that it was originally the villa of Bai Dengbi, the founder of Fujian letterpress printing. Many B&B inns on Gulangyu Island are renovated on the basis of old villas, which are very charming.

There are stone bridges, running water, water lilies and green grass in the garden. The whole pattern is small and exquisite, quiet and elegant, and the heat is reduced a lot.

I am very satisfied with this room. The living room is a children's room, and next door is an adult room. The space design is very reasonable and comfortable.

The overall color of the room is warm orange, and the piano, retro ornaments and various small things collected by the boss in the corner seem to have entered the old time and space, and there is a warm feeling of being cared for by time. Going to the gallery hotel happens to be the hottest time of the day, so we choose to rest in the coffee shop downstairs after putting down our luggage.

After a short break, we set off for the Inverted Museum at No.60 Zhangzhou Road, which is said to be the first museum in China to adopt the inverted design of 180. They searched for suitable places all over the country and finally decided to settle the inverted museum in Gulangyu Island, Xiamen. Why did they choose Gulangyu Island? I think it may be because Gulangyu itself is a place with fresh literature and rich imagination. This place is suitable for people who like to take pictures to make concave shapes. How can you miss such a holy place for taking pictures?

As soon as I entered, I saw all the objects fixed on the ceiling, and I didn't know how to shoot them. Fortunately, a staff member came to give us guidance and told us how to pose and shoot them realistically. Remember to look at them upside down and the effect will come out.

Not far from the museum, it is the most lively Longtou Road, where all the special snacks and popular online celebrity shops in Xiamen are gathered, making it the most crowded place.

We stopped at random in the street and many shops tried to eat.

Look at some special jewelry and fresh decorations. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to buy it. Just look at it. They are very much like islands.

When I was tired, I bought grass jelly. The faint fragrance was refreshing. It's very comfortable to have a cup when you are tired, but there is no chair to rest on the roadside, so we have to find a corner to make do with it.

The baby likes the little red wooden horse in front of this shop very much. He touched it again and again and couldn't wait to take it home.

At night, there are fewer tourists on the leading road at this time, and the crowded pace becomes gentle. It is the most comfortable temperature for the sun to shine obliquely on the body.

The next day we got up early, and the hotel staff brought breakfast, which was unexpectedly rich and delicious, and we ate it up carelessly.

After enjoying a refreshing and delicious breakfast in the yard, we set off for Xinzhuang Garden.

Next to Longzhuang Garden is a bathing beach. The sea breeze in the morning is salty and crisp, which makes people feel refreshed.

As soon as we saw the sea, we began to play, walked to the seaside, and screamed and pulled the baby back together when the waves came.

Taking out the sand digging tools specially bought for the baby, she began to build a fortress on the beach.

Sand has a natural magic for children. The baby filled a bucket full of sand and said he would take it away. Later, he coaxed her into saying that she was not allowed to bring sand into Xinzhuang Garden, and she gave up.

Longzhuang Garden, facing the sea and backed by Sunlight Rock, was originally the private villa of the famous local gentleman Lin Erjia.

Courtyard is a typical Jiangnan courtyard style, with small bridges and flowing water and pavilions.

Play hide-and-seek with the baby in the maze

Climbing to the top of the maze can bring the sea into your eyes. I think this is the most intuitive feeling that the garden is on the sea and the sea is in the garden.

Come down from the maze and walk right to the famous piano museum. Hu Youyi, a patriotic overseas Chinese, has a collection of more than 70 ancient pianos. The baby is staring at the fossil sperm whale on the glass. It is said that the sperm whale fossils here are the most complete fossils found so far.

There is also a complete sperm whale specimen. We looked for it for a long time before we saw the sperm whale's eyes and thought it was cute.

The subsea tunnel is 1000 meters long, and has automatic tracks, so people can stand on it and move with the conveyor belt, so it is convenient to see the fish. But there were a lot of people when I went there that day, and the automatic track didn't open. It was a pity that I didn't experience it.

The jellyfish in the underwater world are also quite famous. Although we don't know the scientific names of various jellyfish, it won't affect our appreciation.

It's really thin, transparent at close range and especially beautiful.

The time and number of sea lion performances are limited every day, and the tour just catches up with the sea lion performances. The baby can't tell the sea lion from the seal, and this time it's just under the popular science.

After lunch, we went back to the hotel to pack our bags and arrived at the ferry by boat again. On the island, we chose Yuan Di Victoria Hotel opposite Yefengzhai on Huandao Road.

It is said that this is the runner's home in Xiamen, and the online evaluation is not bad, so we are here for fame.

The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good and quiet. You can see the whole lawn from upstairs, almost as big as a football field.

We booked a parent-child theme-Hello Kitty room, which surprised me when I entered the door.

All the objects in the room are HelloKitty, from bedspreads, bedside tables and murals on the wall to ornaments on the table, telephones, tissue boxes, photo walls at the door and signboards at the door. The pink girl was so excited that she accidentally sprouted up on me.

In the afternoon, we went to Xiamen University, one of the most beautiful campuses in China. Next to Xiamen University is Nanputuo Temple. Many people will put two scenic spots in the same itinerary.

The architecture of Xiamen University is very distinctive, and the most typical one is "wearing a suit and hat".

What impressed me most was the boys' dormitory and the crimson wall tiles that I saw passing by. I feel a little greedy, but I sigh that Xiamen University people make the best use of everything.

April happens to be the season when kapok is in full bloom. Crimson kapok can be seen everywhere in Xiamen University, hanging high on the wall, adding icing on the cake to the house.

Furong Tunnel is also a small and fresh photo holy place. Turn on the flashlight and face the wall, and a beautiful sky map will come out.

The most famous murals in Furong Tunnel are all over the walls. It is said that one day and one night (exactly one afternoon), a lot of graffiti suddenly appeared on the white wall of the tunnel, and then more graffiti appeared one after another, with different styles and colorful colors, which added infinite vitality to the tunnel (but there were a lot of graffiti on it, which didn't feel very good).
