Is the huge ancient sunken ship found in the Yellow Sea of Liaoning a legendary long-range ship?

In the autumn of 20 13, an engineering ship of Liaoning dandong port group accidentally found some metal objects with rivets, such as iron plates, beams, some coal blocks, etc. in the mud dug from the seabed during the survey and sweeping operation in Honggang District of Haiyang Port. As it also belongs to the ancient battlefield area of Dadonggou naval battle in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, dandong port immediately stopped working, reported this discovery to the cultural relics protection department, and invited the Naval History Research Association to provide historical research support.

Appraised by the Underwater Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the iron plate is made of fried steel, which is consistent with the metallurgical process of Beiyang Navy warship era. In addition, these metal parts have rivets, and the riveting process is also one of the characteristics of Beiyang Navy warships. Therefore, it is suspected that there are sunken Beiyang Navy warships underwater.

At that time, the location where the dandong port engineering ship accidentally discovered the metal parts was close to the sinking location of the Beiyang Navy "Chaoyong" marked in the archives of the Japanese Defense Ministry. The sea around Dandong is stormy in winter, so it is impossible to dive. The investigation of the Dadonggou shipwreck accident caused by the unintentional discovery of the engineering ship came to an end in 20 1 13 10, and was fully launched in April 20 14.

20 14 September 17, the 20th anniversary of the Dadonggou naval battle in the Yellow Sea/KLOC-0. Divers found a special cylindrical object underwater. Suspected to be an ancient gun with a front cavity. Until September 23rd, 20 14, when Mr. Wu Lixin, an underwater photographer invited by dandong port, dived to the seabed to photograph the "ancient gun" that archaeologists claimed to have discovered a few days ago, he found it almost immediately underwater. This so-called "ancient gun" was strikingly similar to the 10 green gun equipped by Beiyang Navy, and finally decided that it was a 65438.

According to historical records, among the China warships sunk in the Dadonggou naval battle, all three ships, Chaoyong, Yangwei and Zhiyuan, were equipped with 1 1mm 10 green guns, but Chaoyong and Yangwei green guns were early models, 10. 10 barrel is covered in a copper cylindrical radiator. Only the muzzle of 10 barrel can be seen from one end of the cylinder, but the barrel can't be seen from the outside. The 1886 green gun was found on the "Dandong 0 1 shipwreck". Other hull characteristics are also consistent.
