Example of post-processing of ps landscape photos: waste into large pieces

How does PS turn waste films into scenic blockbusters

1, RAW file is almost the information obtained directly from CCD or CMOS, and it has not been processed. Through post-processing, photographers can maximize their artistic talents.

2. The 2.RAW file has no white balance setting, but the real data has not been changed, which means that the author can adjust the color temperature and white balance at will without loss of image quality.

3. Although the RAW file is attached with marking information such as saturation and contrast, its real image data has not changed. Users can freely make personalized adjustments to a picture without having to base on one or two preset modes.

4. Perhaps the biggest advantage of 4.RAW is that it can be converted into 16-bit images. That is to say, there are 65536 levels that can be adjusted, which is a great advantage for JPG files. This is very important when editing images, especially when you need to make important adjustments to shadow areas or highlight areas.

After you have a preliminary understanding of the Raw format, we can begin to analyze the film. (first of all, you should know that the early stage is the foundation before the late stage. The film was shot in Frankfurt, Germany at the end of last year 10. The time is around 6 pm, just in time for sunset. The white place in the photo is almost the position of the sun, which is basically taken against the less dazzling sun. The bright part was measured and exposure compensation was added. No tripod, neodymium mirror and GND mirror are used. (mainly because I am traveling with two girls, hehehehehe ... I don't have time to shoot) Why do you want to shoot like this? Just to keep more details (popular point is that highlights are not dead white and dark parts are not dead black). First, import photos into Lightroom. This software is very suitable for parsing raw format. ACR(adobe camera raw) is the same.

First, adjust the curve of the image.

Compared with the original picture, it is found that the dark part is underexposed. Pull a little curve, the dark part rises slightly, and the highlight decreases slightly.

Second, basic treatment

Since the color temperature is not recorded in the raw format, these things should be restored according to the scene in our photographer's mind and created appropriately. At dusk, the color temperature is almost 6k or 7 K. Pull it up. The exposure of the picture is slightly insufficient. If the building is not clearly displayed, the exposure will be improved. A slight increase in contrast can increase the transparency of the picture. Look at the highlights carefully, pull them back and lift the dark parts. Clarity and saturation can be improved appropriately, which is the basic color of the whole picture. Look at the second picture for highlights and shades. Just fix the sunset.

Third, adjust the exposure more carefully

Analysis of GND: Graded Neutral Density Filter (GND) is a common physical filter. Its function is to make up for the deficiency of the original tolerance of the camera photosensitive element in high-light ratio photography (mainly landscape photography), so that the dark and high-light parts of the image can be reasonably exposed (see Adams area exposure method for details). In the film age, this is a necessary weapon for landscape photographers to restore the beauty seen by the naked eye. In short, it is to balance the exposure. What if there is no GND? Use the gradient filter of LR, as shown in the figure:

Set as above. Reduce the exposure to achieve the effect of GND, and then return to the basic settings page to adjust the exposure.

Fourth, sharpen your knife.

The sharpening degree is set according to personal preference.

Fifth, enter Photoshop to adjust.

What is ND? When the picture is too bright, you may not be able to shoot with the required slow shutter. In this case, the neutral gray (ND) filter function of digital camera can reduce the luminous flux, avoid overexposure and reflect the photographer's shooting intention. In short: long exposure can be achieved. Before you do the next step, you should know what a long exposure is and what a photo should look like. For example: the water is calm, the clouds will move, the tracks will appear, the traffic will flow, and so on. . . After considering these basic factors, you can start creating. Paper cutting. I like paper cutting. Someone wiped it with a mask, but it's all the same anyway.

Dig out the lake and the sky directly. Anyway, I don't have any shortcuts, so be patient and deduct it slowly. After deduction, feather the edge by 5 pixels and copy it to the clipping mask. The lake surface is blurred dynamically, perpendicular to 90 degrees, and the strength is controlled by itself (the purpose is to pull out the reflection), and then the surface is blurred to make it as flat as possible. This step can be repeated several times. Tips In the process of handling, it is likely that the scope of ambiguity is large, which leads to the blurring of the buildings next to it. At this time, use the eraser in the toolbar to erase it. The sky is the same, but it should be blurred radially.

The parameters are roughly like this. The drawing shape of the sky is made, and the excess part can be erased with an eraser.

The sharpening of intransitive verbs (reserved by Gao Fancha)

Press Ctrl+J to copy a layer, and then click Gao Fancha to keep it, and you can master it yourself. If you pull too much, there will be noise (maybe it is called noise, but it will damage the image quality in short), and something around 1 is similar. (That's what I did anyway. After that, change the blending mode of layers, use soft light layers or overlay, and you will find it much clearer. The final output will be fine. Forgive me for not saving psd, because it takes up too much memory, hahaha. Don't find fault with perfectionists. I didn't delete any characters in the picture. It's not difficult to remove it, it's just time-consuming manual work. This article just shares an idea. If there is a better way, please give us your advice, which will be appreciated.
