Shi Youxing's deeds

Master Juxing is from Yanyuan, Yunnan. His parents died when he was a child and he was adopted by his wife in Binchuan County. After marriage, he gave birth to two sons.

Guangxu thirty-three years, he was twenty years old. His hometown is hungry, unemployed and has no income. He can't support his family. I heard that Zhu Sheng Temple in Jizu Mountain in Yunnan needed construction workers, so the old monk Xu Yun went to Zhu Sheng Temple to look for a job. Fortunately, he was hired. Since then, he has lived in the woodshed behind the temple.

He is very diligent. He gets up before dawn to work. Every day, in addition to picking up soil and moving stones to repair temples, he also automatically reclaims vegetable gardens, watering, fertilizing and growing vegetables for everyone to eat. From morning till night, he worked nonstop, never resting, or even saying a word. People simply call him "deaf".

More than a month later, his family also took refuge in Zhu Sheng Temple. Buddhist temples can't live in harem. Unexpectedly, Xu Yun, an old monk, understood their poverty and helplessness, took them in to work in the temple and let them live in the hut behind the temple. The whole family is sincerely grateful. In addition to doing odd jobs when building the temple, they also automatically cleaned the temple spotless, and even turned the back mountain into a farm to grow vegetables, fruits and beans for the whole temple people to eat.

He likes listening to the lectures of the old monk Xu Yun very much. Because he doesn't know any big characters, he can't understand anything a little deeper, but he firmly remembers that the old monk said, "As long as you concentrate on Buddhism, you can go to the western paradise!" " So he begged the old monk to teach him to read Buddha.

After learning to recite Buddha, he recited Buddha from morning till night, whether it was weeding, growing vegetables, moving bricks or picking stones. At the age of twenty-one, the whole family met and begged the old monk Xu Yun to give birth to them. After he was given full precepts, he was named "Parade" by the old monk.

The old monk taught him to recite Buddha and meditate, and even instructed him: "As long as you have no ego and no desire in your heart, you can naturally realize that" I am not me ". He doesn't understand what "I'm not me" means, but the old monk said that as long as he has been practicing diligently and wholeheartedly, he will really understand one day.

Put on a monk's robe and recite Buddha from morning till night. He officially became a monk. However, he still grows vegetables, picks dung, waters, picks stones, carries soil and cleans every day ... He never takes a break and remains silent for a long time as before. The only difference is that he changed his name to "deaf monk" before others called him "deaf".

19 15 The old monk Xu Yun saw that he had done well, but unfortunately he had too little knowledge. He was afraid that he would fall in love with him for a long time, so he forced him to go down the mountain to pay homage to the world-famous Dojo. The monk with the belt tried his best to give up, but he didn't dare to disobey the teacher's order, so he had to bite the bullet and go down the mountain.

1920, the old monk Xu Yun set out to rebuild Yun Qi Temple. A group of monks heard the news, thinking that Master was short of manpower, and hurried back. Xu Yun, an old monk, was very surprised, but asked him, "Why did you come back when you went to school?" The monk said, "The world is famous!" The old monk asked again, "What are you going to do when you come back?" The monk said, "I will only serve the master and do some heavy work."

Back to the old monk Xu Yun, the walking monk returned to his old job, digging, moving stones, building walls, building houses, growing vegetables, farming, cutting rice and threshing, planting trees, firewood, cleaning, picking dung, watering, cooking, mending clothes for master and brothers, and being the first to attend morning classes in the temple ... but he always refused to spare a minute.

However, he can recite the scriptures. Recite the Diamond Sutra, the Pharmacist Sutra and the Pure Land Sutra every night.

When the project was completed, the monk was over forty years old. One day, he suddenly asked the old monk Xu Yun to let him guard the pagoda after it was completed. Xu Yun, an old monk, was very sad to learn that the monk had entered the country and he was leaving.

This year's Spring Festival, the old monk Xu Yun especially wants to have a monk as a witness. Disciples who are ordained should be enlightened by monks. The monk said, "I became a monk halfway. I don't know a word, just say' Amitabha'! "

That night, the monk and his party went to the meditation room of the old monk Xu Yun as usual, but today they couldn't help but crawl to the ground sadly. He said, "Master! Disciple is going! I'm here to knock! Who will wait on the master after the disciple leaves? " Old monk Xu Yun said, "Good boy, let's do it!" ! Don't miss your big event! I'm here to help you recite the scriptures. "

After nightfall, the owner of the prison patrolled around and called the roll, but there was no monk walking, so everyone could not find him anywhere. Just as everyone was talking about it, I suddenly saw the dazzling white light flashing a few times and going straight into the night sky. The villagers who lived outside the temple and were not asleep and enjoying the cool air also saw a strong white light rising in the temple, thinking that the Buddhist temple was on fire and rushed in.

The monk and the villagers found the place where Bai Guang came, lit the torch and looked at it, but they saw the monk sitting there with his eyes half closed, smiling, his feet folded and motionless. Someone came forward to pull him. At this time, the old monk Xu Yun arrived in time and stopped everyone.

The old monk told everyone that the walking monk had sat down, and the white light that everyone saw just now was the light of Samadhi real fire from the walking monk. He has burned himself to ashes with a real torch. A slight vibration will turn him into a pool of ashes, so you can't touch him.

When we carefully observe the monk, we can see that he is wearing a cassock, with his chin in his left hand and a wooden fish in his right hand. He sat cross-legged facing the west, with a vivid face, but no ups and downs of breathing. He is obviously a living monk, but the wooden fish handle, the chin handle, the monk's shoes, and the straw and futon he sits on.

Seeing that the monk with walking tools showed that he was a monk, Xu Yun, an old monk, prayed that the monk with walking tools would stay for one more day, so that the reporter could take photos and leave a certificate, spread it around the world and educate all sentient beings.

The next day, the old monk invited the photojournalist of Kunming Daily, Yao Ji, governor of the Tang Dynasty in Yunnan Province, Zhu Cun, director of the Finance Department, Zhuo Xian, director of the Water Resources Bureau, celebrities from all walks of life in Kunming and people from the Buddhist community in Kunming to pay their respects.

Seeing that Monkey's merits had been completed, the old monk Xu Yun took off his small chin in public and said to Monkey, "Don't worry about going west." At the same time, he tapped the small chin and knocked it three times, causing Monkey to shake all over and suddenly fell to ashes.

Your master, the old monk Xu Yun, actually knelt down with his hands crossed in public, and Governor Tang and thousands of guests bowed down with him. The next day, Kunming Daily published news and photos with headlines, which caused a sensation in Yunnan. The whole body burned to ashes. Why don't you fall down? What kind of fire can burn people to ashes? Since it is burnt to ashes, how can it keep its original appearance, posture and appearance The whole body burned to ashes. How can the cassock be okay? ..... Too many incredible things have strengthened Yunnan people's belief in Buddhism, and thousands of people have come to visit this mountain in an endless stream.
