ps color correction-create beautiful backlit portraits
How to create unique character pictures, if you haven’t done it in the early stage, then leave it in the later stage. PS teaches you how to quickly create beautiful backlit portraits.
The material picture is not a backlight picture, we need to simply simulate this effect. First set the position of the light source, and then brighten the background of the light source position. The edges of the characters close to the light source also need to be brightened. You can fine-tune the overall and local colors later.

1. Open the material, create a curve adjustment layer, and adjust RGB, red, and blue. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 1 - 3, and the effect is as shown in Figure 4.

In this step, the material is slightly brightened and rosy.
2. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust red, yellow, green, magenta, and black. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 5 - 9, and the effect is as shown in Figure 10.

This step is The overall color of the picture is toned down to light yellow.
3. Press Ctrl + J to copy the currently selected color adjustment layer, change the opacity to: 50%, and further lighten the overall color. The effect is as shown in Figure 11.
4. Create a color balance adjustment layer and adjust the shadows, midtones, and highlights. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 12 - 14, and the effect is as shown in Figure 15.

This step mainly adds some blue to the dark parts of the picture.
5. Press Ctrl + Alt + 2 to bring up the highlight selection, create a new layer and fill it with light yellow: #FEFADD, change the opacity to: 20%, the effect is as shown in Figure 16. This step adds a yellowish color to the highlights of the image.
6. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust red, yellow, white, and black. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 17 - 20, and the effect is as shown in Figure 21.

This step makes the character slightly redder.
7. Create a new layer, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, and simply polish the skin of the character. The effect is as shown in Figure 22.
8. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust the yellow. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 23. After confirmation, fill the mask with black and use a white brush to erase the character's face. The effect is as shown in Figure 24. .

This step makes the color of the character's face even.
9. Create a new layer, change the blending mode to "Screen", set the foreground color to light yellow: #E1DAAF, use a soft-edged brush to paint the upper right corner with the foreground color to increase the color of the picture. Highlight, the effect is shown in Figure 25.
10. Create a new layer, change the blending mode to "Screen", set the foreground color to orange-brown: #805335, and use a brush to apply some highlights to the right part of the character, as shown in Figure 26.
11. Create a new layer, stamp the layer, change the blending mode to "Color Dodge", and change the opacity to: 30%. Hold down the Alt key to add a layer mask, and use a white brush to paint the selected part of the image below to increase the reflective effect of the hair, as shown in Figure 27.
12. Create a new layer, stamp the layer, and execute: Filter
Blur
Motion blur, set the angle to 45 degrees, and set the distance to 150. After confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Soft Light" and the opacity to: 30%. The effect is as shown in Figure 28.

13. Press Ctrl + Alt + 2 to bring up the highlight selection, press Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection, and create a new layer filled with dark brown: #493A1C. Change the blending mode to "Screen" and the opacity to: 50%. The effect is as shown in Figure 29. This step simply increases the brightness of the dark parts of the image.
Final effect
Finally, fine-tune the overall color to complete the final effect.
