The English name of Fujian Photographers Association is Fujian Photographers Association, and the English abbreviation is FPA.

Fujian Photographers Association, formerly known as Fujian Branch of China Photographers Association, was founded in March of 1962 and renamed Fujian Photographers Association in July of199/kloc-0. At present, there are 1988 members, 335 of whom have joined the China Photographers Association. Photographers' associations of all districts and cities in the province are group members of the association. There are Fujian Photography Professional Skills Appraisal Station, Fujian Photographers Association member's home, Fujian Photographers Association website, photography training class, image processing training class and other institutions.

In the past 40 years, the association has held six member congresses. The first chairman, Wu Tong; Zhang Zigu, the second, third and fourth chairman; Zhang Yu, the fifth and sixth chairman. Member of the Bureau of the Sixth Council: President Zhang Yu; Pan Chaoyang, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the General Assembly; Vice Chairmen Ma, Shi, She Shan, Zhou Dai, Chen, Lin Zhenshou, Lin Huilong, Wu, Huang and Jiao Honghui. Since its establishment, the Association has hosted or co-sponsored more than 65,438+0,000 film exhibitions and competitions. National large-scale activities include: hosting China Meizhou Photography Art Festival and "Jin Xue Beer Advertising Photography Grand Prix", and hosting the 5th China Photography Art Festival. Co-organized "We the People of the United Nations" Jiang Rong Photography Exhibition, Fujian Tulou? Yongding Hakka Tulou International Photography Competition, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Straits Photography Art Festival, etc. Large-scale activities in the province include: the photographic art exhibition held every two years in the province, which has been held twice since 1962. In order to cooperate with the central task of the provincial party Committee and the provincial government and the construction of the West Coast, activities such as "soaring Fujian", "Fujian's new look", "Fujian's elegant demeanor" and "glorious course" were jointly held with the Propaganda Department of the provincial party Committee and relevant departments. Extraordinary achievements, love for Linzhi, cultural relics in Bamin, traditional festivals in China, the charm of Mount Taimu, the scenery and customs of Yong 'an, as well as the 2006 Fujian Excellent Photographers' Exhibition, the first environmental protection photography contest, Fujian Baobei photography contest, Fuzhou in the eyes of Chinese and foreign photographers, and Dongshan Island in the lens of photographers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. At the same time, many solo exhibitions were held for photographers at home and abroad.

Over the past 40 years, Fujian's photography team has grown from small to large, from weak to strong, especially in recent years, the overall level of photography has improved a lot, ranking third in the country, and many works have achieved good results in national and international film festivals and competitions. By 2008, a total of 284 works in the province had been selected for national and international film festivals, among which the Gold, Silver and Bronze Award was 2 1. Won 13 gold, silver and bronze awards in previous national photography art exhibitions, including 2 gold awards: Zhu Qingfu's "China People" and Chen Yingjie's "SOS"; Five silver awards: The Breeze by Shi, Life and Death Rescue by Yang Weichun, Memories of Ships by Cheng, Passion in the Straits and Harvest by Xia Linhai; Six bronze medals: Shi's Golden Age, Li Hanhan's Curtain Call, Three-dimensional Holographic Display of Faults, Tang Chunshou's Lotus Rhyme, Shi's Home and Shi's Poems by the Sea. He won 8 gold, silver and bronze awards in previous China International Photography Art Exhibition, including 2 gold awards: Lin Sen's Nostalgia in Water Town and Liu Xianjian's Home; Three silver awards: Impression of Bohai Sea by Huang Jiafa, Concern by Liu, and I was born in a small mountain village by Song Dehua; Three bronze medals: Chen Guoren's dedication to the sea, Liu's deep affection and Chen Yongqiang's courtesy to women. In the 9th International Photography Art Exhibition held in Shanghai, the authors of our province won 4 of the 20 gold medals, ranking first in all provinces, and also won the 1 silver award, 2 judges' recommendation awards, 2 excellence awards and 33 selected works. The Association has won the China Photography Award, the highest prize in photography in China, five times. The winners are: the 4th Pan Chaoyang, the 5th Ma He Shi, the 6th and 7th Shi. Pan Chaoyang was also awarded the "Virtue and Art" photographer of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

In the course of these decades, Fujian Photographers Association has attached great importance to photography education. Since 1985, Fujian Branch of China Photography Correspondence College has opened 18 photography correspondence course, which has trained more than 6,300 photographers. Since the establishment of Fujian Photography Professional Skills Appraisal Station 1996, more than 2,300 people have been trained and appraised. Since the sixth Council, photography training courses and image processing training courses have been added.

The association also attaches great importance to internal communication and external publicity. Before the fifth session of the Council, Photography Newsletter was published regularly, with 24 issues in total, and Fujian Photography was published once a year, with 29 issues in total. The sixth Council strengthened its work in this field, and founded the Fujian Photographic Newspaper, which is printed in color and published for more than four times a year, with four to eight editions each, and eight issues have been published. At the same time, the series of Fujian photographers was published, and the first series of "The Code of Life" and the second series of "Beautiful Mountain Country" were published. Previously, he also published large-scale photo albums such as Fujian Photographers' Collection, Fujian New Appearance, Fujian Key Projects, We Passed 2007, 2 1 Fujian Photography Art Exhibition Collection, and Light and Shadow Feast, which promoted the prosperity and development of photography in Fujian. The "Member House" created by the Association and the updated website have become effective platforms for contacting members and enthusiasts.

While carrying out various photography activities, Fujian Photographers Association has strengthened its foreign exchange activities, adopted the way of "going out, please come in", and extensively carried out photography cultural exchanges and photography creation activities with the United States, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as all over the country, thus expanding the influence and cohesion of the Association at home and abroad. The Presidium of the Sixth Council of Fujian Photographers Association is leading its members to serve the construction of Haixi, and marching towards a strong photography province with the pace of "serving Haixi first and trying first"!
