Is the scene in the movie King Kong true? Where was it taken?

Many scenes in "King Kong" are real, but many of the later stages of "King Kong" are processed by three-dimensional animation, including scenes and King Kong.

The contrast between the two films is the most obvious, especially King Kong, which is more realistic through computer technology and three-dimensional animation.
