First, buy a lens such as an autopsy?
Strangely, no matter whether you buy new or second-hand glasses, everyone becomes a Virgo, and they are very concerned about whether the lenses are dusty. We will look at the lens super carefully, as if there were a grain of dust. It is true that you should be careful when buying second-hand lenses, but what about buying new ones? You may not know that the lens cannot be "dust-free" from production to packaging. Do you want to be spotless? It's more psychological, because there are many tiny dust particles that you can't see.
Of course, it is understandable to buy a new mirror and ask for dust-free, but second-hand mirrors also ask for dust-free. Is it a little difficult for you?
Second, it's either Quan Huafu or regret?
Quan Huafu is a myth. Some photographers are persistent in their pursuit of Quan Huafu. I believe you have some photographers around you. Why on earth? Pursuing image quality? Pursuing shallow depth of field? Then 135 Quan Huafu is definitely not your final choice. Don't forget, if your idea is that the bigger the better, we have a much larger 120 medium format than 135!
In fact, choosing the right equipment is the most important thing, not just focusing on the size of the frame. Now the gap between the residual frame and the whole frame is getting smaller and smaller, which should not be an obstacle for us to choose tools.
In terms of performance, D500 is definitely higher than D750, but D750 is Quan Huafu! What do we do? Judging from the evaluation, the image quality of the residual frame machine D500 is better! Do you still believe that the bigger the bottom, the better?
Third, why are the pixels so low?
Similar to the pursuit of the number of frames, some photographers will be obsessed with whether the pixels of the camera are high enough and pursue the number of pixels endlessly. Indeed, the higher the pixel, the finer the enlarged image. But do you really need to enlarge it and study it bit by bit? If you just publish your work online and add compression algorithm, it doesn't make much sense even if there are 350 million pixels. What's the use of giving you 100 million pixels if you don't need them?
If you just look at it on the display screen, even a 4K screen, 9MP is enough. 12MP has many old cameras, and 16MP cameras can be cut in half. 24 million pixels is equivalent to three times that of 4K pixels. Is it necessary to get more than 24MP pixels?
What about the exhibition? 24MP image is enough to print 24×36 inches for exhibition (exhibition level! ) Even for larger photos, besides, general exhibitions only use standard photo frames, and only high-end commercial photographers will use ultra-high pixels, okay? ...
Fourth, the lens should be sharp enough to see every part clearly?
Many novice photographers don't know the concept of "uneven image field", so they often misunderstand or don't understand why the edge resolution of an image is always not as sharp as the center, thinking that there is something wrong with the lens or the optical quality of the lens is too poor, and then thinking that it will be fine to change to a more advanced lens, but the problem still exists.
In fact, as long as we understand the so-called "uneven image field", we know that when light enters the photosensitive element, the angle and distance of the light are different. The greater the angle and distance, the greater the difference, so we will see that the performance of the four sides of the image will not be as good as the central position. It is a bit "impossible" to make the whole picture so sharp. However, there is a way to narrow the aperture and increase the depth of field, which can make the resolution of the four sides of the image closer to the center.
Five, chasing continuous shooting can't fail!
In recent years, digital SLR manufacturers often emphasize the camera's continuous shooting and excellent focus chasing ability, and shoot first-class sports, birds and other topics. In fact, it is easy for users to misunderstand. Among the twenty or thirty pictures of continuous shooting, some think that there is something wrong with the camera, and they question whether the camera is too old and the focusing system can't keep up.
It should be understood that this is just a gimmick for most users, and the continuous shooting aspect of digital SLR can basically meet the requirements, but the focus tracking may not be 100% accurate, because when focusing, the camera does not predict the position or focal length of the subject at the next moment, but relies on prediction and calculation. In this way, because it is only prediction, there will inevitably be errors, which will lead to inaccurate focus tracking, especially for subjects with great changes in speed and motion, which is even more difficult to calculate. Don't expect this feature to hit every time.
Sixth, WIFI, NFC and GPS must be available.
Recently, almost all new generation digital cameras should have the function of WiFi/NFC wireless remote control or GPS. I feel that these functions are enough for an advanced camera. Is that so? Although these additional functions will definitely become the basic functions of the camera in the future, just like the previous live view function, are you sure these functions are useful? Is it worthwhile for you to give up choosing a good camera because you don't have one of these functions?
Seven, high ISO is annoying when there is noise
High ISO is the breakthrough point of camera manufacturers, which is just a trap. Some photographers will pursue image quality, want to sneak past the milk, and are extremely disgusted with the noise of high ISO. In fact, can digital noise or film particles really not exist?
Sometimes, these coarse grains can also be a taste. Let's look at the works of court photographers such as David Hamilton or Daido Moriyama. Those rough expressions have become their style. Who says every photo should be as smooth as milk?
Eight, the handle is professional enough.
Many photographers will be equipped with a battery handle in addition to being more professional when buying a SLR? Is there such an actual demand? We think most of them are unnecessary. The handle has two main purposes. One is to prolong the shooting life, because you can usually put two batteries, but does it really take so long? Another purpose is to facilitate vertical shooting, such as portrait shooting. Some people think it will be more comfortable to shoot with a straight handle, but in fact there are different views, because the camera will be much heavier after adding a straight handle, and it will be very tired after long-term use. If the time is short, is it not much difference?
Off-topic, many film cameras will use similar handles, but the main function is to drive a motor, which can improve the continuous shooting speed of the camera.
Nine, the aperture less than f/2.8 is too thin.
The blind pursuit of large aperture by lens is also one of several classic myths in the era of digital photography. If it is in the movie era, we can say "yes" with great certainty, especially when using a long focal length lens. Due to the limitation of film sensitivity, we rely more on improving the safety shutter speed to maintain the stability of shooting, so a large aperture is necessary, even without more light assistance, which is almost the only way.
