Basic characteristics of light: all light has its own characteristics;
1. Brightness indicates the intensity of light, which varies with the energy and distance of the light source.
Direction because there are too many light sources around our lives, it is difficult to determine the direction.
3. Color light changes into many colors with different light sources and different substances passing through. And natural light will change with the time of day and the change of atmosphere.
According to the orientation of camera, subject and light source, it can be roughly divided into five types: front light, side light, backlight, top light and foot light. These are the five most commonly used lamps.
Refers to the light source and the subject face to face, the photographer's back to the light source, and the light shines directly on the subject.
Advantages: In this light environment, the details of the main color and modeling can be well displayed.
Disadvantages: shooting along the light will make the subject have no obvious light and shade changes, thus lacking the sense of hierarchy and three-dimensionality, making the picture slightly dull.
Tip: You can arrange some foreground for the picture to increase the sense of space.
1. Indirect explanation
The irradiation direction of light forms an angle of about 90 degrees with the shooting direction of the camera. Using sidelight shooting, the subject can have a sharp contrast between light and dark, making the picture very textured. Therefore, sidelight is often used to show a clear-cut and three-dimensional picture. Express the specific feelings of the characters.
2. Front side lights
Refers to the light incident from the left or right side of the subject, and the irradiation direction of the light forms a horizontal angle of 45 with the shooting direction of the camera. When shooting buildings, portraits and flowers, we often use this 45 side light.
3. Side backlight
The light coming from the back of the subject to our lens forms an angle of 120 ~ 150 with the shooting direction of our camera.
Refers to the light that directly hits the lens from the back of the subject. When shooting in the backlight environment, it is easy to make the side of the subject facing us black, which is in contrast with the backlight area. If you want to take wonderful photos in the backlight environment, you can fill people's faces with reflectors or lamps, and you can get a warm and fresh backlight effect.
Refers to the light from the top of the subject to the subject, and our camera keeps a vertical angle of about 90. In nature, the most common top light is the midday sun.
Usually, when shooting a still life theme, when it is necessary to show the details of the top of the subject, the top light will be used.
Refers to the light that shines on the subject from below. Footlight is not our common light environment, and its visual effect will subconsciously give people a mysterious, gloomy and strange feeling.
