Panoramic shooting of sunrise and sunset

Lead: I have walked through mountains and rivers and seen ups and downs. I don't know when I began to like sunrise and sunset. In the high sky, the sun is held up in the clouds, and the surrounding clouds are spectacular, quiet and beautiful. Beautiful sunset or sunrise scenery only appears in less than 20 minutes before and after sunset and sunrise. At this time, coupled with excellent color temperature and suitable cloud and terrain prospects, everyone will be moved by this beautiful scenery involuntarily.

Panoramic photography of sunrise and sunset often shows the effect of light and shadow. At sunrise and sunset, the light angle of the sun is low, the light quality is soft and warm, and the whole picture is full of attractive charm. Surely any photographer will not miss this opportunity easily? However, it is not easy to record the beautiful sunrise and sunset perfectly in a short time.

Sunrise and sunset are one of the favorite themes for photographers to shoot landscapes. This is not only the beauty of the red sun itself, but also the ever-changing morning halo and sunset glow, which constitute a particularly magnificent scenery.

Selection of shooting time

The position of the sun

? When shooting sunrise and sunset, the first thing to pay attention to is to know the position of the sun in the sky. Generally speaking, when shooting sunrise and sunset, you should press the shutter on the ridge or sea level where the sun has just risen or is about to set. In addition, the color of the sun at this time is goose egg yellow. At the most beautiful time, the sun rises completely, the sky turns white, and the original red atmosphere disappears completely.

Choice of seasons

spring

summer

autumn

winter

The best seasons for shooting sunrises and sunsets are spring and autumn. In summer, these two seasons are later than sunrise and earlier than sunset, which is beneficial to shooting. In spring and autumn, there are more clouds, which can increase the shooting effect. Half an hour before sunrise and half an hour after sunset are prime time for shooting. Before shooting, you must think about the effect you want to show, the shooting location before sunrise, and choose your own seat and suitable prospect.

Don't forget the composition.

Foreground combined with s-shaped composition

Illuminate the picture with sunrise.

Sunrise at sea, using reflection to form a symmetrical composition

Although it is easy to impress people, such a composition is really discouraged.

Although the beauty of sunrise and sunset is fleeting, don't forget the importance of composition In composition, the general photographer should put the sun on the right or upper right corner of the picture. Also known as the golden section composition method, beginners should not put the sun in the' right center' of the picture unless there are special considerations. At the same time, we should also consider the proportion of the sun in the whole picture and make proper use of the foreground to set off the atmosphere, such as trees and clouds. If there is no foreground or sky color to set off, it is not aesthetic to take a complete photo of the sun.

About photometry

Brilliant light changes very quickly at sunrise and sunset, and bright sun, dark clouds and dark earth all make it more difficult to judge exposure. The mistake most people often make is to make the sky too bright, the picture is easy to be gloomy, and the atmosphere at sunrise and sunset is lost; If the exposure is insufficient, it is easy to lose many details of the sky and ground scenery.

We can usually reduce the exposure compensation according to the results of multi-zone evaluation photometry or center key average photometry, which is generally 1? 2EV. If you want more accurate metering, you can choose the spot metering function. Aim the metering point at the area close to the brightness of the back of the hand in the sky for reading and metering, and remember not to choose the area with the sun and ground scenery. This photometric value needs no compensation. After pressing the AEL button to lock the exposure, you can re-compose and shoot.
