Can I eat garlic with a bad stomach?

People with bad stomachs eat less garlic.

Researchers from Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China selected two groups of subjects and compared their eating habits. One group has 1424 lung cancer patients, and the other group has 4500 healthy adults. It was found that people who regularly ate garlic were less likely to develop lung cancer by 44%. Even after researchers consider whether to smoke, eating garlic raw can still reduce the risk of lung cancer by about 30%.

The researchers explained that allicin in garlic can inhibit the inflammatory reaction in human body and act as an antioxidant to reduce the damage of free radicals to human cells. When garlic cloves are crushed or chopped, allicin will be released, and it will remain more when eaten raw. Allicin has a certain stimulating effect on the stomach, so patients with gastrointestinal diseases should eat less.
