What is the golden section?

The golden section is a geometric formula invented by the ancient Greeks, and its proportional value is 1: 0.6 18, as shown in the figure 1- 1. The picture designed and constructed according to this ratio is very beautiful and attractive, so it is called the golden section, and this ratio is also called the golden ratio. This ratio is used in many things in our life, such as the composition of desks, computer and TV screens, books, newspapers, magazines and Taobao pictures. We extended the concept of golden section. The position of 0.6 18 is the best position to shoot the theme, and it is also the best position to place the focus goods in the poster picture, which generally forms the visual center of gravity, as shown in figure 1-2.

When designing and appreciating pictures, the significance of this rule lies in providing a reasonable geometric line segment. For many painters and artists, "golden section" is a guiding principle that they must deeply understand in their realistic creation, and photographers and online shop artists are no exception. In fact, what we usually call the trisection is derived from the golden section method. The picture is divided into nine equal parts by two horizontal lines and two vertical lines, which is also called "Jiugongge" method. The four intersections in the middle become the focus of the line of sight, and are also the best places to place the main objects and main commodities when composing, as shown in Figure 1-3 and Figure 1-4.
