How to use lights when driving a motor vehicle on the road and parking on the side of the road

Before a motor vehicle stops at the roadside, the driver should first observe the traffic situation at the right rear of the vehicle and turn on the right turn signal in advance.

Press the brake pedal correctly and turn the steering wheel to the right smoothly. When the vehicle slows down, press the clutch pedal, and when the right front wheel of the vehicle approaches the roadside, turn the steering wheel to the left.

Turn left and stop quickly. When the vehicle is about to stop, lift the brake pedal slightly to slow down the braking inertia and make the vehicle stop smoothly. Tighten the handbrake, put it in neutral, lift the clutch, lift the brake pedal, and then turn off the turn signal.

If you park on the roadside at night, you need to turn off the headlights and turn on the warning lights at the same time. At night or in windy, rainy, snowy and foggy weather, the width lights and tail lights must be turned on. In the process of driving a motor vehicle, the use of lights is very important and must be used correctly.

Brief introduction of automobile lighting

1. Headlights, also called headlights or headlights, are installed on both sides of the front end of the vehicle to illuminate the road when driving at night. In order to prevent the driver of oncoming vehicles from being dazzled by the strong light of headlights, headlights generally use two filament bulbs, namely high beam and low beam, which emit high beam and low beam respectively.

2. Position indicators, also called width indicators and position lamp, are installed at the front and rear edges of the car to indicate the existence and width of the car.

3. Fog lamps are installed at the head or tail of the car to improve road lighting when there is fog, rain, snow or dust. The front fog lamp is usually yellow or orange, and the installation position is lower than the headlight. The rear fog light is red, warning the rear car to keep a safe distance.

5. The reversing lamp is installed at the rear of the car. When the gearbox is put into reverse gear, it will automatically light up behind the lighthouse to warn the vehicles and pedestrians behind it.

6. For vehicles with an empty height of more than 3 meters, install a position light to indicate the outline of the vehicle.
