202 1 12 On February 26th, China successfully launched the 5m optical 02 satellite with the Long March IV C carrier rocket at Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. On the evening of February 27th, 65438, the National Landsat Remote Sensing Application Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources (hereinafter referred to as "National Landsat Center") successfully received the first-track panchromatic and multispectral images transmitted by the ground system. After receiving the data, through band registration, orthorectification, fusion and other processing, a true color fusion image product was successfully produced. The preliminary results show that the image is clear, rich in texture features and good in image quality.

As the main user, the Ministry of Natural Resources presided over the construction of the 5-meter optical 02 satellite, taking overall responsibility for the construction of the satellite project; National Land Satellite Center, as the legal person of satellite project, is specifically responsible for project construction management. The main payloads of the satellite are 1 visible near-infrared camera, 1 hyperspectral camera and 1 infrared camera, which can effectively acquire 9-band multispectral data with a width of 15km, hyperspectral data with a width of 60 km and thermal infrared data, in which the spatial resolution of the whole chromatographic section can reach 2.5 m and the multispectral data is 65438+.

At present, multispectral cameras have successfully acquired data, and hyperspectral cameras are expected to start imaging in February 2022, which will further improve the ability of quantitative investigation and monitoring of natural resources, support timely grasping the quantity, quality, ecological status and changing trends of natural resources, and provide data guarantee for asset management and ecological supervision of natural resources in China. Infrared cameras are also expected to start imaging in February 2022, which can provide data guarantee for comprehensive remote sensing monitoring and evaluation of steel and coal production capacity and support industry supervision.

In the next step, the National Land Satellite Center will further perform the legal person's duties and, together with relevant units, take the lead in carrying out the on-orbit test of the 5-meter optical 02 satellite in accordance with the on-orbit test work plan, so as to lay the foundation for the smooth on-orbit payment of the satellite. At the same time, based on the satellite application technology system that runs through the natural resources fields of provinces, cities and counties, we will accelerate the popularization of new load data and application technologies such as hyperspectral.
