Considering the family's financial situation, Rencheng's brother gave up the opportunity to study in a technical secondary school and became a sailor on a cruise ship in Dongjiang Lake. Ren Cheng entered Zixing Middle School and began to work hard for his and his family's college dream. But what Ren Cheng didn't expect was that something happened at home before the first semester of senior one was over.

In 2006, Rencheng scored 579 points in the college entrance examination and was admitted to department of mechanical engineering of Taiyuan University of Technology. Now the Shenjia Formation can no longer be cultivated. More than 60 acres of land lost 40 to 50 acres, leaving only a few acres of land, and there is almost no arable land.

In addition to all the cultivated land being washed away, more than forty chestnut trees planted by Rencheng's parents in those years were also washed away by the flood.

After the flood, although the villagers' family property was seriously damaged, when they learned that Rencheng had not paid the university fees, the villagers who were grateful to Rencheng brothers organized a fund-raising, and they simply raised more than 1000 yuan for Rencheng.
