Training objectives:

(1) Advertising major

Advertising majors can cultivate compound professionals who are engaged in advertising planning and creativity, advertising design and production, advertising management, marketing planning and communication strategy design in media advertising departments, advertising companies, market consulting institutions, government departments, enterprises and institutions, cultural and creative industries and other related institutions.

Graduates of this major should have theoretical knowledge of advertising and marketing communication, broad vision, certain innovation ability and professional skills, and master the basic knowledge of communication, marketing, sociology, psychology, audio-visual communication and other disciplines.

(2) Communication major

This major trains professionals who are engaged in international, cross-cultural and cross-professional coordination of public relations and information dissemination in various media, party and government organs, government propaganda departments, institutions, advertising companies, marketing planning companies, media research companies and other public communication institutions.

The graduates of this major have relatively rich basic knowledge of humanities and social sciences and certain basic knowledge of natural sciences. Being able to independently observe and analyze social phenomena by using Marxist standpoints, viewpoints and methods, systematically mastering news communication knowledge, having strong practical skills, being familiar with news communication policies and regulations, being familiar with the development trend and operation mechanism of media integration, and mastering computer and network information application technology.

Main course:

(1) Advertising major

Introduction to sociology, introduction to communication, introduction to advertising, marketing, Chinese and foreign advertising history, advertising planning and design, advertising copy, market research and statistics, film and television advertising, advertising photography, advertising effect.

(2) Communication major

Marxist journalism, introduction to journalism, introduction to communication, news interview and writing, research methods of communication, organizational communication, interpersonal communication, public relations, speech and rhetoric.
