The Nanchang-Pingxiang Railway was completed the following year. Since then, zhejiang-jiangxi railway has been connected with Zhuping Railway, forming an east-west traffic artery in the south of the Yangtze River. 1937, Japanese invaders bombed Zhuping Railway in late August and mid-September, and Pingxiang Railway Station was bombed, killing and injuring many railway workers and ordinary people. 1At the end of March, 939, in order to prevent the Japanese army from advancing westward, the Kuomintang government demolished all the special railway lines from Nanchang to Pingxiang and from Pingxiang Station to Anyuan Station in zhejiang-jiangxi railway. 1940 In April, the Kuomintang government dug up the roadbed in Nanping section of zhejiang-jiangxi railway, and all the bridges and culverts were blown up. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, all the railways in Pingxiang were paralyzed. It was not until March of 1947 and June of the same year that these two railway lines were repaired one after another.

Railway workers went all out to repair bridges and various facilities bombed by the Japanese army and the Kuomintang government. 1March, 950, Pingxiang station was rebuilt into a building with a construction area of 600 square meters. 1979 to 65438+February, the newly-built Pingxiang station was put into use. Until 1990, the construction area of Pingxiang Station has reached more than 7,800 square meters.

It is the station with the largest number of high-speed railway station yards in the three cities of western Jiangxi, and trains will only run during rush hours.

Pingxiang, a century-old coal city, is located in the west of Jiangxi Province, bordering on Hunan Province. Pingxiang has a long history. As early as four or five thousand years ago, human beings created civilization here. At the end of Qing Dynasty, there were many large and small coal wells in Pingxiang. However, coal transportation is very backward. Basically, people push it to the wharf along the river with their shoulders or trolleys, and then transport it to the surrounding county towns with wood, and then ship it to Changsha, Wuhan and other places with big ships. In the 24th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (AD 1898), Pingxiang Coal Mine was formally established, and 322 private commercial wells were collected before and after. Coal production has further developed, but transportation is still a difficult problem.

In order to solve the problem of coal transportation, in June of 1899, the seven-kilometer special railway line from Anyuan to Pingxiang county was started, and it was completed and opened to traffic in early 10 that year. Then the railway from Pingxiang, Hunan Province to Liling also started, and the project was stopped because of the Boxer Movement. Until March of 190 1, Zhan Tianyou and American engineer Li Zhi continued to run Pingyao Railway, which was completed in June of 1903 and opened to traffic in early July. Then the railway from Liling to Zhuzhou started, which was completed in June 1905 and opened to traffic in October 165438. The railway line from Pingxiang to Zhuzhou is nearly 65,438+000 kilometers, and the project lasted about 6 years, with 9 stations. At that time, Pingxiang Station had a building area of 593 square meters and a warehouse area of more than 300 square meters. This railway line uses two kinds of rails: China rail and Belgian rail. China Railway is made by Hanyang Ironmaking Plant. Because of the train, Chinese and foreign businessmen came to Pingxiang to discuss coal business. At this time, Pingxiang coal production is booming, and the amount of coal and coke transported abroad in 19 19 is nearly 500,000 tons.
