1997 On New Year's Eve, passengers gathered at London Bridge and counted down in the snow to welcome the New Year. A car crashes, and a middle-aged man and woman, Guangsheng (played by Dawn) and Yunwen (played by Shu Qi), die in the car. The next day, the headline found that they were a pair of derailed lovers, each with a family. When their families learned about this, they were very angry and refused to go to London to identify the body. They sent a son (Daniel Wu) and a daughter (Zhang Shenyue) to handle affairs. Young people were born in Hong Kong and began to contact each other, resenting each other for killing their parents. They look through photos, letters and diaries found in their parents' luggage, slowly restore the last journey in their parents' lives and touch their parents' forgotten past. Back in Hong Kong, the two young people understood each other and continued their parents' unfinished love story.
