Another person who has to mention is Sir John Herschel, a British astronomer. He once took his first photo with a telescope and worked out how to fix the image on the glass. The earliest existing photo printed on glass was taken by him in September 1839.

1839 65438 On March 4th, Herschel submitted a report on photography technology to the Royal College of England, in which 23 photos were printed on paper and its substrate, including the first photo he took with a telescope, the sculpture made by superposition and the printed matter reproduced by photography.
