Is there a difference between time-lapse photography and ordinary video playback?

Intuitively, there is no difference on the surface.

However, limited by the hardware performance, ordinary video fast playback will feel that the picture is obviously stuck, because the player has to find the corresponding frame picture in the video to fast forward, so the calculation is large and the picture feels like a card;

Time-lapse photography is equivalent to sorting and grouping all the pictures with fixed intervals, so that the pictures are continuous when playing, and the effect is the same as fast forward.
