The 10th anniversary of Tate Gallery.
Exhibition time: 2012/114-2013/04/01.
Exhibition City: UK
Venue: tate modern, London.
Artists: Jackson Pollock, Huo Keni: Living in Pictures, cindy sherman, Jack Smith, Nikki Sanfale.
Introduction: This exhibition will look at the dynamic relationship between painting and performance art from a new perspective since 1950. By comparing the main works of Jackson Pollock and Huo Keni, this time I came up with two ways to show the concept of using canvas as a stage: one is posture, and the other is drama. The paintings of the Viennese Action School or the photos of Nikki Sanfale will be re-presented in the performance occasion, and the works of cindy sherman or Jack Smith will be juxtaposed with them. The latter two works are based on human face and body, and cosmetics are often used to deal with gender role-playing. This exhibition puts forward a new way to look at the works of many young artists, who rely on diverse historical resources, action painting and the concept of scene layout to make their painting methods full of vitality. Pre-Raphael artist: Victorian avant-garde
Exhibition time: 2012/09/12-2013/013.
Exhibition City: UK
Venue: Tate London Art Museum
Artists: John Everett Miles philip webb Edward Burne-Jones, william holman hunt, Rossetti.
Introduction: Rebellion and retro, scientific precision and magnificent imagination, pre-Raphael artists combine these characteristics. They were the founders of the first modern art movement in Britain.
More than 150 works of different media, including painting, sculpture, photography and practical art, will be exhibited in this exhibition, and various media means reveal the pioneering nature of each style and means of pre-Raphael artists. The Pre-Raphael School (PRB), led by Rossetti, william holman hunt and John Everett Myers, got tired of art in the middle of19th century and began to rebel against the established system. They began to draw inspiration from the art of the early Renaissance. This exhibition defines the pre-Raphael artists as the early role models of the avant-garde: painters consciously subvert orthodoxy and set new standards for modern painting and design. The works on display include many famous pre-Raphael works, and some rare masterpieces will be re-launched, including Brown's controversial works, The Legend of the Abbess by philip webb and Edward Burne-Jones 1858. This exhibition shows the pre-Raphael artistic atmosphere influenced by it. At that time, arts and crafts were a response to the rapidly changing religious beliefs and political background, and their relationship with female sex workers. Edvard munch: The Eye of Modern Times
Exhibition time: 2012/06/28-2012/14.
Exhibition City: UK
Venue: tate modern, London
Artist: edvard munch
Introduction: "edvard munch: The Eye of Modern Times" is an important exhibition dedicated to a new understanding of the Norwegian painter edvard munch (1863- 1944). This exhibition plans a dialogue between the artist's paintings and his interest in the most modern figurative art forms, including photography, film and the revival of stage production at that time. Monk often appears as a painter, symbolist or pre-expressionist in the19th century, but in this exhibition, he is emphasized as an artist in the 20th century and a representative of the complete modernity of his time. This exhibition is organized in close cooperation with the Pompidou Center in France and the Oslo Monk Museum. It will include about 60 paintings and 50 photos, including selected works with artists' signatures, such as self-portraits. The exhibition will also explain how Monk uses current news and how he gets inspiration from what he sees in the street or reports in newspapers or radio. Henry moore solo exhibition
