Basic concept of LED color temperature

In photography, due to the difference in light energy of the shooting scene, color changes will also occur. When the color temperature is low, the hue of the scene tends to be orange-red; when the color temperature is high, the hue of the scene is bluish. Below, only the definition and characteristics of color temperature will be explained.

Definition of color temperature

Color temperature refers to the color change experienced by human eyes under different energies of light waves.

In the calculation of color temperature,

Kelvin is used as the unit, and 0° Kelvin of blackbody radiation = -273 ° C is used as the starting point for calculation. When the black body is heated, as the energy increases, it will enter the visible light field. For example, at

2800 ° K, the color of the light emitted is the same as that of the light bulb, so we say that the color temperature of the light bulb is 2800 ° K.

The color temperature changes in the visible light field, from low color temperature to high color temperature, are from orange-red --> white

--> blue.

Characteristics of color temperature

1. In areas with high latitudes, the color temperature is higher and the colors seen are bluish.

2.

In low latitude areas, the color temperature is lower and the colors seen are reddish.

( <---- Low color temperature ------------------- High color temperature ---->

)

3. The color temperature also changes throughout the day. When the sun shines obliquely, more energy is absorbed by (clouds, air

), so the color temperature is lower. When the sun shines directly, less energy is absorbed, so the color temperature is higher.

4. The sRGB color model of Windows uses 6500 ° K

as the standard color temperature, expressed as D65.

5. The color temperature in the early morning is approximately 4400 ° K.

6. The color temperature in the mountains is about 6000 °

K.

The color temperature of the light source is different. The colors are also different. A color temperature below 3300K has a steady atmosphere and a warm feeling; a color temperature between 3000--5000K is an intermediate color temperature and has a refreshing feeling; a color temperature above 5000K has a cold feeling. The different light color compositions of different light sources are the best Environment, as shown in the table: Color
