Lake Baikal tourist attractions in winter The best photography spots and seats in Lake Baikal in winter.

Going to Lake Baikal for photography in winter has become a standard for teachers in the photography circle. Pure and sparsely populated Siberia is the source of inspiration for creating blockbusters. Cheap air tickets, short flights and unimaginable extreme low temperatures are all reasons why Lake Baikal must go.

Let's take a look at the beautiful scenery and the best shooting location that Lake Baikal has to visit.

Blue ice

Because Lan Bing is a large piece of pure ice in the form of a single ice crystal, the purer the ice, the bluer the color. In natural Lan Bing, the less the salt content, the bluer the color.

In the cold winter, the ice becomes denser and harder, and the air inside is squeezed out, and the pores inside are shrinking or even disappearing, and gradually become crystal clear. At this time, the red-orange light with long wavelength and strong diffraction ability can penetrate the ice layer, while the blue light with short wavelength is scattered by the thick ice layer. Ice will appear crystal blue, just as the sky (atmospheric scattering) and the sea (water scattering) are blue.

Ice bubble

Besides Lan Bing, there are ice bubbles of different sizes. The methane gas in the water is frozen under the ice because it is too late to be released.

ice cave

Lake Baikal is located in Siberia and is the deepest lake in the world. Every winter, strong storms will inject a lot of precipitation into caves, and water vapor will condense immediately at sub-zero temperature, thus forming ice caves. Icicles in ice caves look like inverted Gothic spires, some of which can exceed 10 feet (about 3 meters long). Backlight shooting is easy to produce large films.

Ice crack

Every year in June 5438+1October, the lake surface of Baikal will freeze, and the thickest part of the ice layer is 1.5 meters thick. Cars gallop on the ice, just like driving on a road on land.

The most beautiful scenery is from February to March, which starts every spring. As the weather gets warmer, the temperature difference between day and night becomes larger, and criss-crossing cracks appear on the ice. Standing on the ice, you can hear the muffled sound from the ice cracks, which makes people nervous and scared. However, under the sunlight, it emits faint blue light and green light like a gem.

The tour of Lake Baikal is mainly divided into two directions: the northern line and the southern line. The northern line mainly looks at Lan Bing and ice cracks, while the southern line looks at ice caves and ice bubbles. Most of the scenic spots cross the southern line.

Shaman, mt

We usually say that going to Lake Baikal is usually on Orhon Island, which is the largest of the 27 islands in Lake Baikal and has the richest and most mature tourism resources.

Shamanism is dominant in Orhon Island. There is a mountain on this island called Shaman Mountain, which is the sacred mountain of Shamanism. It is actually a huge rock. The location of the holy mountain is a classic plane for shooting the sunset of Lake Baikal.
