What is 4k shooting?

4K shooting refers to shooting videos with 4K resolution.

4K resolution is 4096×2 160 pixel resolution, which belongs to ultra-high definition resolution. 4K resolution means that the pixel value of each row in the horizontal direction reaches or approaches 4096, and in most cases it refers to the resolution of 4096*2 160.

The resolution of 4K level can provide more than 8.8 million pixels, achieving film quality, which is more than 4 times of the current top resolution 1080p. Of course, the price of Ultra HD is also high, and the amount of data per frame reaches 50MB, so no matter decoding, playing or editing, top machines are needed.

Extended data:

From a professional point of view, the so-called 4K Ultra HD technology has four dimensions besides resolution improvement, namely, wide color gamut (REC.2020), high dynamic range (HDR), high frame rate (HFR) and high quantization accuracy.

The most obvious performance of 4K technology lies in the improvement of display resolution, which makes the picture more detailed. There are two key factors that affect the fineness of the picture, the effective pixel and the vertical resolution of the picture.

The higher the effective pixel of a picture, the smaller the grid and the thinner the pixel on the picture of the same size. Because the human eye is very sensitive to the vertical resolution of the image, the higher the vertical resolution, the more details and levels the human eye can recognize.
