What is the relationship between es, js and ts?
Es is the law, and E is ECMA, which is equivalent to People's Republic of China (PRC); S means script, which is equivalent to the National Language Committee. The relevant departments of the state standardize the language of the country, and computers have similar organizations to standardize computer languages.
Js is a language, just as human languages include English, Russian and Japanese. I agree that computers are also divided into Java, PHP and Python, so assume that js is your familiar Chinese.
Ts is a dialect, and there are many Chinese dialects, such as Shanghai dialect. There are also many dialects of js, such as CoffeeScript. When you go to Shenzhen to speak Shanghainese, most people don't understand it and need to translate it into Mandarin. Similarly, ts also needs to be converted into js to be recognized by lower-level browsers.
Related languages
There are many kinds of scripting languages, and the execution of general scripting languages is only related to specific interpreters, so as long as there is an interpreter in the corresponding language on the system, it can be cross-platform.
The popular scripting languages are Lua and JavaScript, which are powerful, but also have obvious shortcomings. For example, it is troublesome to realize object-oriented in Lua, and it is very difficult for JavaScript and C++ to call each other.
