Me and my ten cameras in the D40 era

As a semi-professional photographer, I have received ten cameras so far, namely Nikon D40, Nikon D3000, Seagull DF- 1, Olympus μ2, Kangtai Aira, Rolleiflex3.5E, Polaroid, Canon 5DmarkIII, Jaska a 120 and Phoenix 65438. They are Nikon's AF 35 1.8, Nikon's manual 70-300, Kangtai's 50 1.4 mmj, Canon's EF 50 1.4 and Canon's EF 24- 105 F4, including tripod flash track and a bunch of photographic accessories, at home. Except for Yaska 120 and Fenghuang 135 given by relatives in the later period, there are some faults. Since the first D40 in early 2007, there is a story behind every camera, which is also interesting to recall now.

D40 is the first digital SLR I bought in the Spring Festival of 2007. Before that, I knew almost nothing about photography. When I was working in a magazine, my boss asked me to go out for an interview and take a photo. I didn't even dare to touch the camera. I thought it was such a profound knowledge that I couldn't control it. At that time, I was most afraid of the flash, because it would always come out inexplicably and scare myself half to death. I bought D40 because I wanted to open a Taobao shop at that time. I spent a long time in the shadowless forum before buying it, which coincided with Nikon's launch of the first low-end and low-cost SLR D40. A Daniel who majored in Canon Nikon wrote an evaluation on the forum. I read almost all the posts and comments, and brought home the first SLR that I have been thinking about on the New Year's Eve. Later, when I used it to shoot Taobao clothes, I was always complained by the seller that there was color difference. That's right. First, my photography skills are poor, and second, there is no light and no shed, so it is very strange that I can shoot well.

It was a Filipino named Leo who really inspired me to take pictures. 20 10 I joined a small independent film crew as an executive producer and made an independent film with a horror theme. The director is gay, an American, and he plans to take it to a foreign film festival. The producer is his gay boyfriend and his financier. Leo is the director of this film. Although he is a photography director, he is said to be operating. This Filipino came to the Shanghai World Expo that year. He has three children at home, hoping to earn more money. He can do anything in the whole crew, be flexible, dare to fight with heroes and then make peace. In his own words, he is very smart. Spent the longest time with him and slept together in the shooting place. One night, we had a beer together. He taught me everything about the D40 camera in one night. From then on, I entered the door of digital SLR. Leo later took me to take a few jobs in Expo photography, and he could make money from amateur level at once. Leo left Shanghai on June 5438+065438+ 10 after the World Expo and left his D3000 camera to me. He may be in Ireland now. I wish him all the best.

Later, I took my D40 everywhere, and this camera followed me all over the country, including three northeastern provinces, Sichuan and Yunnan in the southwest. It has been shot about 35,000 times, and now it is completely idle. D3000 was sometimes used by parents when they went out to travel, and later they became fascinated with film photography.
