Who's Liu Xiaowu?

Liu, No.5 filial piety, was born in Zhengbaiqi, Han army, and was born in Ningxia. Commander of Liugou in Ming Dynasty. In the first year of Shunzhi, the Qing dynasty was reduced, and the original post was still granted. Li Guan Sichuan prefect, Dingxi general, Jiangnan right company commander. He was beaten into a second-class Ada Hahaha fan. It is suggested to strengthen border defense in Ningxia. In the sixteenth year of Shunzhi, he led Ningxia soldiers to Jiangning and defeated Zheng Chenggong soldiers who attacked Chongming. He died in the army and loyalty the following year.

Liu-pacify the northwest:

In March of the seventeenth year of Chongzhen (1644), the peasant army of Li Zicheng captured Beijing and ascended the throne of Dashun. However, due to the mutiny of Wu Sangui, the general guarding Shanhaiguan in the Ming Dynasty, the Qing army entered Shanhaiguan, seized Beijing from Dashun Dynasty on May 1 October 1 day, and established Qing shunzhi dynasty. In the second year, the Qing court appointed Prince Azig of Heshuo as General Jingyuan and led the army to conquer the Shaanxi-Gansu area, the rear base of Li Zicheng. In February, the Qing army invaded Tongguan, and Li Zicheng was defeated and fled. Most of the generals in the pre-Ming dynasty fell one after another, "between the ten days of the month, the whole Qin dynasty will be sure."

In order to quickly control the situation in the northwest, the Qing court promoted Wang Wenkui, the governor of Baoding in the former Ming Dynasty, as the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War and the right deputy governor of Douchayuan, and became the first trilateral governor of Shaanxi (soon changed to Meng Qiaofang); Jiao Anmin, who was promoted to participate in politics in Yanping Road, Shanxi Province, was appointed as the right deputy capital of Duchayuan and the first governor of Ningxia. Before the transfer, Liu, the commander-in-chief of Mingliugou, was still the first commander-in-chief of Ningxia Town. At this time, the situation in the northwest is very chaotic, and the anti-Qing forces are still quite strong. Not only did the remnants of Li Zicheng's peasant army continue to move in the vast rural areas, insisting on tenacious struggle with the Qing army, but many generals in the former Ming Dynasty, although apparently surrendering to the Qing army, were secretly connected in series, actively preparing for the anti-Qing mutiny and recovering lost ground.

In that year1February, He Zhen, the company commander of Hanzhong Town, first made an attack. Transfer soldiers to revolt and lead 70,000 troops to attack Xi 'an, an important town in northwest China. At the same time, Wu Dading, deputy commander of Guyuan Town (now Guyuan Yuanzhou, Ningxia), also killed He Shiyuan, the general commander of Guyuan, and occupied Guyuan Town. All parts of Longyou responded in succession, and the northwest crisis seriously threatened the consolidation of new noble regime in Manchuria. At this time, Liu is guarding Ningxia. "Fu Sui trained troops, Ji Shu became famous, and the chaos was eliminated. The governor Meng Qiaofang rewarded his talents." He was ordered to lead Ningxia town soldiers as the main force to suppress Wuding rebellion near Guyuan. Due to Liu's unswerving loyalty to the Qing court and desperate struggle against the new master, Wu Dading was forced to lead his troops to leave Guyuan and join Hezhe in Hanzhong. Liu pursued all the way and killed a large number of anti-Qing officers and soldiers, making great achievements for the Qing court.

Ping Liu's rebellion;

In April of the third year of Shunzhi (1646), there was also a mutiny in Ningxia, and the first governor Jiao was killed by mutinous soldiers. The Qing court ordered Liu to return to Ningxia quickly. After returning to the town, he did not immediately take measures to suppress the rebellion, but conducted a secret investigation and learned that the rebellion was instigated by officers Wang Yuan and Mudd. Liu quietly took the method of divide and rule to quell the rebellion in Ningxia. The Qing court awarded him the honorary title of third-class Ada Hafan, and promoted him to the prefect of Sichuan and the general of Dingxi.

However, due to the rebellion in Guyuan, Ningxia and the new peace, the situation was unstable, and Liu became famous after the battles in Guyuan, Nanding, Ningxia and Beiping. In order to ensure the safety of the Trilateral Pass, Emperor Shunzhi changed to Wei Liu and stayed in Ningxia as the right governor. Sure enough, in the fifth year of Shunzhi (1648), the Xiangshan rebellion led by Cai Li happened again in Ningxia. Liu used his prestige to "surrender the bandits in Xiangshan, disperse the other parties and secure the place." At the end of the same year, the general commander of Datong Town, Shanxi Province rose up against the Qing Dynasty, and Liu Denglou, deputy commander of Yanbei and Yulin, Shaanxi Province, also colluded to respond to Jiang Embedding, captured twenty counties in northern Shaanxi, killed the governor Wang of Yansui and Xia Jinfang of Jingbian Road, called himself "Governor Daming", and called on the officials and people to rise up against the Qing Dynasty and regain their sight. Liu Denglou wrote a letter to Liu, hoping that he can also lead Gansu, act together with Shan and Shan, and make contributions together. "Fang Ming was furious when he saw the pollution, and the book was sent to Governor Li Cheng to monitor it."

When Liu Denglou saw that Liu did not respond, he instigated Dingbian Tun to send troops together with Mongolian Zamushu and invaded Ningxia through Huamachi. At first, the rebels were fierce, and the fortresses such as Hedong, Tiezhu, Huian, Humber and He Lin were successively lost. Then the rebels gathered a large number of stocks and besieged Lingzhou, a major town in Hedong. At this time, Liu led soldiers from Ningxia town, Li, Lanqi and Gushan Han army who went to aid, and began to organize counterattacks, once again putting down the rebellion in Ningxia. Therefore, the Qing court awarded him second-class Adahavan.

Liu-developing Ningxia;

After the war in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Ningxia suffered from the destruction of farmland, population flight and the exhaustion of financial and military resources. For the sake of Ningxia's long-term stability, after he put down Liu Denglou's rebellion, he immediately played in the imperial court and said, "Ningxia is alone outside the river and stretches for thousands of miles." Town soldiers repeatedly recruit, weak soldiers. Please make up for the lack of food from now on. "It has also been suggested that" by reducing the number of sinners to the border, capital will gather. "These suggestions were accepted and implemented by the imperial court, which played a positive role in population growth and economic recovery in Ningxia.

Liu-stationed in Jiangning;

In the sixteenth year of Shunzhi (1659), Zheng Chenggong, the general of Nanming, led an army to attack Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the Qing court appointed Da Su, a court minister, as General Annan, and led all the troops south. Liu Ye, the company commander of Ningxia, went with the conscription, and Commander Zuo led the soldiers of Ningxia Town as the right company commander of the conquering army and was stationed in Jiangning (now Nanjing, Jiangsu). In autumn and winter, he cooperated with Liang Huafeng, commander-in-chief of Susong Town, and fought with Zheng Jun on Chongming Island in the Yangtze River estuary for many times. In the second year, he and Ningxia soldiers mostly refused to accept the southern soil and water, and fell ill one after another, and the troops lost their original fighting capacity.

In order not to miss the military plane, he boldly reported to the court: "I was ordered to suppress thieves, but I was seriously ill." Non-commissioned officers from Ningxia have been training for many years and become attached to each other. When I went to the south today, half of them were dysentery and injuries. And I didn't fill the ravine, so I dared to ask for more adjustments. "Although the Qing court approved his request, at the request of Langting, the governor of Jiangnan, I just withdrew the pacesetter of Ningxia Town to Jiangning to maintain public order in the rear. Soon, Liu died in Jiangning military camp. The Qing court gave a very high reward to the war generals and awarded the highest honor to a company commander, Prince Taibao, as a "loyal minister". After Liu died of illness, all the officers and men in Ningxia Town withdrew to Ningxia.
