Method of shooting portrait silhouette at sunset

Portrait silhouette at sunset is a common photographic subject, which uses the principle of backlight to express the limbs, scenes and beautiful dusk scenery of portraits.

In shooting, we usually use the "full manual" exposure mode to narrow the aperture and speed up the shutter speed, so as to make people look almost completely black and the sky can display colors.

The minimum aperture of consumer digital cameras is often around F8-F 1 1. If the aperture is not small enough, sometimes a "reduction mirror" is needed to make people look completely black.

Shooting method:

1. Find the backlight scene. The sunset is behind the portrait.

2. Adjust the shooting mode of the camera to "Full Manual" mode.

3. First, set the aperture to the minimum and the shutter to the fastest, preview the shooting results from the LCD screen, and decide whether it is necessary to slightly increase the aperture.

4. If the figure is not almost completely black at the minimum aperture and maximum shutter, add a reducing mirror and preview it.

The scenery in autumn is very charming, especially at night. Choose a fine day and take some similar photos.
