Tips for taking yoga photos

Tips for taking yoga photos are as follows:

(1) take a silhouette

Silhouette is a common theme in portrait photography and can also be used in yoga photography. The shooting method is simple. First of all, we should find a large backlight environment, set the aperture priority mode, adjust the aperture a little (such as f/2.8, f/4), and then choose a lower ISO to reduce the noise of the picture (but be careful not to blur the photo too slowly, preferably faster than the safety shutter).

(2) Let light pass through the body

Like the first silhouette, to take a yoga photo that lets light pass through the body, we need to find a backlight environment, but this time we need to increase the exposure. If the aperture priority mode is used, the exposure compensation (+EV) can be increased. When shooting, you can also use a telephoto lens to compress the foreground and background, and a large aperture can also blur the background and highlight the subject.

(3) Shooting reflection

In yoga photography, reflection effect is a very attractive application, which can increase the sense of space and continuity of the picture, just like a mirror. Symmetry can increase the interest of the picture and make it more agile. We also taught the skills of shooting reflections.

(D) Exaggerate the background

Yoga photography is most common in the fresh green nature or yoga classroom. But we can also try special backgrounds and create unique effects. For example, the magnificent architectural background, breathtaking cliffs, white snow and the peak of high-rise buildings? Contrast the momentum with big contrast. Of course, we must remind everyone to pay attention to safety! Don't risk your safety for a deliberately different effect.

(5) Parent-child yoga

Yoga photography is so interesting, you might as well ask the baby at home to take pictures together! Add a lovely feeling to the work! Children are very flexible and love taking pictures, so let's try parent-child yoga photography. Here, I also want to remind everyone not to let children try yoga moves that are too difficult! It is enough to take pictures in the most basic yoga posture.
