How does Nikon D5000 delay shooting?

Time-lapse photography has not been developed successfully in SLR cameras at present. Time-lapse photography is a unique shooting technique, just like stop-motion animation, but with different time rates. Time-lapse photography, the camera needs manual operation, and it can be done once and for all without menu function keys.

Long-time freeze time delay shooting. Also known as low-speed photography or fixed-time photography, "time-shrinking" photography. A means to record and reproduce the slow changing process of the scene with obvious changing images at regular intervals.

In the case of time-lapse photography, one photo is taken every x times, usually in a fixed position or a regular moving position, and then y photos are taken and then played in turn to form a video. Suitable for shooting clouds, flowers, boats, etc.

For example, it takes about 3 days and 3 nights for a bud to bloom, which is 72 hours. Shoot one frame of it every half hour, record the subtle changes of flowering action in turn, shoot a total of 144 frames, and then show it at normal frequency (24 frames per second) through the projector, and reproduce the flowering process for 3 days and 3 nights in 6 seconds.
