Underwater photography practitioners said that if you really open your eyes, you won’t feel uncomfortable as long as the water quality is good.

Usually ordinary people can open their eyes underwater after simple training. Very few of the clients who come to us say that they can’t open their eyes when they go into the water.

It is also related to the water quality. Our water quality is measured regularly every day. The most basic clarity is nothing to say. It is basic to see the bottom clearly at a water depth of six meters, and the circulation is always on. If there is a problem with water quality, it must be controlled immediately. The control method will not be explained in detail, but it will never be solved by a tank of tap water.

If an actor really cannot get into the water, the first thing to consider is a substitute. Underwater avatars are different from those on land and require special training. Our male and female stand-ins are from the national team, the male is from the swimming team and the female is from the underwater ballet team.

The second step is compositing. Take a shot of glasses on land and then composite it onto the actor. It’s no problem to shoot with glasses closed underwater.

Some respondents mentioned the scene of falling into the water. I don’t know what the situation is, but for us, it is impossible for misjudgment to occur. Usually we have professional gestures, and if an actor has a problem, a gesture can solve it. There are three to four security guards surrounding an actor during filming. It can basically bring an actor out of the water within a few seconds, and a close-up shot can bring the actor out of the water within a second. Then there will be simple underwater training before entering the water to understand basic underwater knowledge. Most of the dangers in the water actually come from the water surface. For example, a lamp fell into the water, a crane fell into the water.

Furthermore, the actors are actually very hard-working. The underwater scene took more than eight or nine hours to shoot. There was an actor who didn’t know how to swim. If you pour a bucket of water on your body, no matter how cold it is, you will still continue to shoot. Zhao Wei spent two days underwater using a long breathing tube. Except for eating, sleeping and going to the toilet, I basically never came out. Moreover, special substances have been added to the water to make it appear muddy for movie effects.

In comparison, opening your eyes in clean water is really a trivial challenge.
