Xiamen classic three-day tour

Xiamen is a famous tourist city with many scenic spots, but the travel time is limited. If you want to have fun, you need to plan your route in advance. On the first day, I visited Xiamen University and rode around the island road in the evening. The next day, I explored the old neighborhood. On the third day, I visited Gulangyu Island and enjoyed various scenic spots.

Day 1: Visit the periphery of Xiamen University, and ride Island Road at night.

On the first day, the routes were concentrated around Xiamen University and Huandao Road in Siming District. Walking and cycling are the best modes of transportation.

9:00 Nanputuo Temple

Highlight: Shannon, word-of-mouth attractions, vegetarian cakes and handwritten letters.

On the first morning, I visited Nanputuo Temple next to Xiamen University. This ancient temple in southern Fujian enjoys the highest reputation among tourists. Admission to the temple is free, and each visitor can get a incense for free.

After visiting the Hall of the Great Hero, you can climb the Five Old Peaks along the path behind the temple, which takes 30-50 minutes one way. The top of the mountain is an excellent place overlooking Xiamen University, Xiamen Twin Towers and the vast sea, which also confirms the statement that Nanputuo is a "land of feng shui".

Special lunch

There is a vegetarian restaurant in Nantuo Temple, which is a major symbol of the temple. Interested tourists may wish to experience it. If you want to experience the campus canteen, the third floor of Furong Restaurant in Xiamen University Campus is open to tourists. You can also find some cheap restaurants around the campus that are very popular with Xiamen University students.

12:00 Xiamen University

Highlights: a combination of Chinese and western architecture, Furong Tunnel.

The popular attractions of Xiamen University are divided into three categories: architecture, nature and museums. The Jiannan Auditorium and Songen Building on campus are the most magnificent and suitable for taking pictures. Furong Lake and Lover Valley have the best natural scenery. Visitors who like humanistic atmosphere can also visit Lu Xun Museum and Humanities Museum.

Besides, you can also visit bookstores, time bookstores and coffee shops all over the campus.

The furong tunnel is 1 km long, and students draw creative graffiti on both sides. Visitors can also give full play to their creativity and take interesting photos. There is a souvenir shop to visit in the tunnel. It is suggested to turn back at the end of the tunnel and go directly to Baicheng Beach of Xiamen University from Baicheng School Gate.

Campus opening hours

The opening hours from Monday to Friday are noon 12:00- 14:00 (limited to 1000 people) and evening 17:00-24:00 (unlimited traffic). There is no limit to the time and number of people visiting on weekends. You can enter with your ID card.

16:00 Baicheng Beach

Highlight: The nearest place to see the sea from Xiamen University.

Baicheng Beach is just across the road from Xiamen University, which is the seaside beach that most tourists who come to Xiamen University will go to. The beach has a vast area and is a popular place to enjoy the sea near the urban area.

Huandao Road 18:00

Highlight: cycling on the beach, beautiful scenery and delicious snacks.

The second day: appreciate Minnan architecture and explore literary blocks.

The next morning, I went to Jimei Xue Cun, which is far away from other scenic spots. I suggest taking the subway. Other scenic spots can be reached on foot or by bike.

9:00 Jimei Xue Cun

Recommended reason: architectural style of overseas Chinese hometown in southern Fujian

Walking in Jimei Xue Cun, the architectural integration of Nanyang style and Minnan characteristics can be seen everywhere. Whether Nanxun Tower is as tall and spectacular, or the pavilions around Longzhouchi are as small and elegant, or the old house with red walls and tiles, you will never forget it.

Walking into the alley of Jimei Xue Village, you can dig up many authentic foods, such as soup dumplings, satay noodles, mala Tang, fried oysters and so on, for lunch.

You can see the sea view by subway.

Take the newly opened subway 1 line from Jimei Xue Cun to Shapowei. Compared with the traditional bus, the subway shortens the ride time to one hour. Taking the subway across the sea, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way and listening to the tender Minnan language station announcement are also unique travel experiences in Xiamen.

14:00 Shapowei

Highlights: literary landmarks, creative shops and photography shrines.

Traditional Style of "Old Xiamen Fishing Port" and Fashion Elements of "New Literature Wave"

It takes five minutes to walk from Shapowei to Shimao Building, a new landmark in Xiamen. Before sunset, you can climb the 55th floor 360-degree all-glass observation deck overlooking Xiamen and Taiwan Province Province. There are also love roofs and high-altitude glass plank roads on the 58th floor of the building. Visitors who like excitement can go to the outdoor viewing rooftop to experience it.

Admission: Adults can climb the rooftop on the 55th floor. 120 yuan. On this basis, 20 yuan can visit the rooftop of love, and 80 yuan can experience the high-altitude glass plank road. There are discounts for the elderly and children. It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance, and there will be some discounts.

19:00 Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street

Highlight: an old commercial street composed of arcade buildings.

Day 3: Gulangyu Island

On the third day, take a ferry to Gulangyu, visit the most classic scenic spots in Gulangyu and visit the most lively food street in Longtou Road.
