When I shoot flowers, I prefer to shoot black and white. However, not all flowers are suitable for black and white, because the brightness changes of some flowers are not so rich. The edge of the flower is not so unique.

Moreover, in the process of taking flowers, I prefer to observe its light and shadow changes. A work shot in this group of pictures uses a macro lens of 100 to focus on the tip of stamens, so its focus range is particularly narrow. At this time, the photographer's choice of focus is tested, and the flowers can't tremble greatly in the wind when shooting.

Highlight the prospects and details.

This work was shot indoors, but outdoor light was used. The flowers in the studio don't need much light. It is perfect to have a spacious window and natural light entering the room. The method of photographing flowers with light is similar to that of photographing people. One method is to use backlight to display the largest range of shapes and contours. Backlight shooting can fully highlight the tiny burrs of flowers.

A slight change in the backlight will turn into a side backlight, and the vase itself has a certain form of beauty. Coupled with the wild flowers collected outside, three levels of things such as flowers, vases and tables can be displayed. But only when it is backlit, the color of petals will be the best; When it is in light, it is difficult to produce transparency in petals.

The same bunch of flowers, this work uses a black background, but not a black cloth, but is determined by the relative brightness. If there is enough light shining on flowers and vases, they will naturally turn dark or dark gray compared with the background in dark areas farther away.

Moreover, this is a background that will not cause any interference to the foreground, and can also set off the content of the foreground. So when I measure light, I will use high-point metering. The high point may appear on the far right. If caught, it will not be exposed, and the color and shape of the flowers will be perfectly presented. Basically don't worry about the exposure of this photo. Try to understand the connection between light and the object you need to shoot.

This work consists of several petals and a banana leaf. The biggest advantage of this work I shot at home is that there is no wind, so I don't need to consider the picture jitter caused by the wind, and I don't need a tripod. Window light and artificial light are the most common exposure light sources.

Use the lens to discover the world in detail.

The ability to discover details is very important. Most people don't pay attention to details when looking at flowers, but have a batch table. For example, within five kilometers, all flowers look the same at first sight, but the real personality can only be reflected in the details.

What really has personality is made of telephoto segments. In order to make the work recognizable, it is necessary to gradually transition from wide angle to telephoto range, which is a process of examination and growth.

When shooting details, you need to observe the shape of flowers. When I shoot flowers alone, I prefer to confine myself to a limited range. I don't need much content. What I need to do is pay attention to the same flower, and then analyze and observe its shape and characteristics.

Shoot flowers like a portrait
