Her hysterics would occur every day, and she would even cry loudly in the studio. Despite her tears, she received no help from her family. Taylor could no longer bear the pressure exerted on her by her mother and the Hilton family, and was admitted to Le Baronsay Hospital under the pseudonym Rebecca Jones. It was this one-week hospitalization that laid out a pattern for her to seek emotional balance in the future. Later, whenever she could not bear the huge emotional pressure, she would often go to the hospital. In this way, she can be isolated from the oppressive environment that tortures her, while at the same time satisfying her desire for care. Although her parents were not necessarily around when she was hospitalized, the doctors' care for her was enough to make her burst into tears.

Taylor asked the Los Angeles court to rule on divorce on the grounds of extreme cruel mental torture. Nicky Hilton did not attend court and was represented by a lawyer in the family matter, who did not raise any objection to her actions.

Taylor then asked her lawyer to file a lawsuit with the Hilton family, demanding a piece of private property. She later received the property, all wedding gifts, and 100 shares of Hilton Hotel stock. For many years to come, Taylor remained brooding over the pain this failed marriage had caused her. The fabulous wedding between Taylor and Nikki then came to naught.
