What does Canon ef bayonet mean?

Canon EF bayonet refers to a camera lens interface designed by Canon Company. It is the standard interface of Canon digital SLR camera series. There is usually a bayonet sensor at the bottom of the device to determine whether the correct lens is installed. The design of EF bayonet was used as early as 1987 Canon EOS SLR camera, and it still occupies an important position in Canon SLR camera series and becomes one of the industry standards.

Canon EF bayonet has many advantages. First of all, it has a wide focal length range and can adapt to various types of photography, such as portraits, landscapes, wide-angle and other different photography scenes. Secondly, EF mount also has a high degree of functional scalability. By installing an adapter ring on the base, the lens of EF base can adapt to various non-Canon cameras. Finally, the autofocus speed of EF bayonet is very fast, which can ensure high-speed and accurate focusing even when taking pictures in low light environment.

It should be noted that although the Canon EF bayonet is popular, not all Canon cameras have the same bayonet. For example, the EF bayonet used by Quan Huafu SLR model and APS-C format model is different and cannot be used universally. In addition, some Canon cameras are so small that they can't be photographed with the large lens of EF bayonet. Therefore, when choosing a Canon camera lens, you need to make a correct choice according to your own shooting needs and camera model.
