Collecting stamps adds luster to my life.

When a person retires from his job, with the change of his role, leaving his familiar work and colleagues who get along with him day and night, it is inevitable that he will feel lost. However, for me, this feeling seems not so obvious, because I have a wide range of interests, including stamp collecting, music, photography, traveling, fishing and table tennis. Among them, collecting stamps is a hobby I have developed since I was a student. After retiring, I feel like a duck to water, and there is no pressure at work. I can devote myself to my hobby, and I can enjoy multiple pleasures of knowledge and art from my hobby of collecting stamps.

Stamps are called "mini encyclopedia", "national business card" and "exquisite art treasure house". These titles and praises of stamps can be said to be appropriate and no exaggeration. The design and printing of stamps represent the highest level of a country in this field. Through the small window of stamps, people and things of great significance in China or the world are displayed, such as scenic spots, historical relics, culture and art, animals and plants, economic construction, politics and military affairs, local conditions and customs, etc. The theme of stamps is all-encompassing, and the design of stamps is exquisite, which attracts countless fans like miniature works of art.

Collecting stamps, focusing on research, you can learn countless knowledge from it. Buying stamps and putting them in the drawer can't be called collecting stamps. The highest level of stamp collecting should be to be able to string together the philatelic products in your hand and make them into philatelic products. The creation of philatelic works embodies the comprehensive ability of stamp collectors in terms of cultural and artistic accomplishment, stamp collecting knowledge, aesthetic level, arrangement and production.

Since the early 1990s, I have tried to organize stamp collecting and participate in the stamp exhibition held in this city. After resigning, I have no work pressure and enough time to devote myself to the hobby of collecting stamps. In order to collect stamps, it is necessary to consult relevant materials extensively. To this end, I specially purchased a computer, subscribed to various philatelic newspapers and magazines, consulted useful information from the Internet, purchased philatelic products, communicated with stamp collectors all over the world, learned stamp collecting knowledge, observed stamp exhibitions, and went out to visit national and world stamp exhibitions at my own expense, broadening my horizons and accumulating stamp knowledge, which laid a solid foundation for organizing stamp collecting. Over the past few years, I have successfully organized many stamp collecting activities on behalf of Hanjiang Group, Shiyan City and danjiangkou city, and participated in the first and second stamp exhibitions held by the Ministry of Water Resources in Zhuzhou City and Tianjin City, Hunan Province respectively. The 1st Hubei Old Age Stamp Exhibition; The third national extreme philatelic exhibition was held in Guangzhou; The second national philatelic exhibition in the same frame was held in Jinan, Shandong; Participated in Hubei philatelic exhibition many times; In 2006, he participated in the first national online philatelic exhibition, and achieved good results, winning honors for Hanjiang Group, Shiyan City and danjiangkou city.

In 2002, at the invitation of the National Water Conservancy Philatelic Association, I went to Beijing to participate in the design of the commemorative stamp album of South-to-North Water Transfer Project in China. With rich stamp products and detailed and precious pictures, the album publicized the world-famous grand project of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, became a precious foreign affairs gift, and made a modest contribution to the promotion of South-to-North Water Transfer Project.

Collecting stamps is a process of continuous thinking and learning. From the production of appearance, the use and treatment of philatelic products to the full expression of the knowledge and importance of philatelic works, we need to use our brains, consult a large number of materials and professional knowledge, consult postal friends, learn from each other, take advantage of the opportunity to go out or buy philatelic products needed for supplementary collection online. This requires making friends with postal people and exchanging needed goods. Over the years, through communication and online communication, I have made a large number of philatelists at home and abroad, which greatly enriched my collection. In the communication with postal friends from all over the world, we can learn from each other's experience in stamp collecting and organizing stamp collecting, exchange postal knowledge, and enhance postal friendship in mutual communication.

After retiring to the second line, in addition to organizing stamp collecting, I also contributed my experience, understanding, events and news reports of stamp collecting to various stamp collecting newspapers and magazines. Over the past few years, 100 articles have been adopted by more than a dozen newspapers and magazines. I further improve my postal knowledge and writing level by writing articles, and I also get great pleasure from reading tofu articles in various newspapers and periodicals.

The beneficial hobby of collecting stamps keeps people busy all day, but through collecting stamps and writing articles, we can use our hands and brains, which invisibly achieves the effect of nourishing emotions, strengthening our brains and keeping fit.
