The discovery of underwater civilization has to start with Geng Wei, a diving enthusiast who grew up by Fuxian Lake in Yuxi.

In the process of diving, Geng Wei found that there were obvious artificial buildings at the bottom of Fuxian Lake, so he recorded them with his camera.

After being reported by Yangcheng Evening News in 2000, the underwater "ancient city" of Fuxian Lake was made public.

In order to solve the mystery, China Underwater Archaeological Team officially entered Fuxian Lake, and a huge underwater archaeology began.

Mystery of underwater ancient city

Through three times of archaeology, experts affirmed that this ancient underwater city has traces of human activities.

This "underwater ancient city" is 2.4 square kilometers. Chengjiang has always had a legend: "Yuyuan ancient city, people sink to the bottom of the lake."

You know, the average county-level city in China is only 0.25 square kilometers, and the county-level city in Han Dynasty is only 0.64 square kilometers.

This also overturns the statement that this ancient underwater city was Yu Yuancheng established in the Western Han Dynasty.

Some people speculate that this will be the disappearing ancient capital of Yunnan.

Experts found that the bottom of the lake was littered with stones with regular shapes and a north-south stone wall.

There are eight ancient buildings in the ancient city, one of which is a stepped high-rise building similar to a pyramid, with a height of more than 20 meters, equivalent to ten floors.

There is also a street-like building paved with slabs 300 meters long and 7 meters wide.

All of the above shows that the structure of this underwater ancient building complex is mainly stone. However, the architectural structure of the ancient Yunnan Capital or Cheng Yuyuan should be a civil structure, so the statement of the ancient Yunnan Capital has also been overturned.

Many bronzes have been unearthed in Jiangchuan area. Is there any connection between them?

According to the introduction of the expedition team, they also found many new evidences at the bottom of the lake, such as "the main seat of the ceremony", "the stone case of the ceremony" and images similar to "the sacred tree"

There are also sandstone monolithic stone components carved with metal tools, similar to human eyes, ears and lips. And the combined images of the sun, moon, male and female genitals, odd and even numbers and their triangular structures of yin and yang carved by metal utensils, the way of thinking is very primitive.

Based on these data, the symbols and patterns of underwater ancient cities are not consistent with the characteristics of bronzes unearthed in Chengjiang and Jiangchuan tombs.

Therefore, experts believe that the underwater structure of Fuxian Lake is a more primitive and ancient prehistoric site. Submerged structure in Fuxian Lake is a stone building community, which can reveal the mystery of human civilization and the origin of the Chinese nation.

The unsolved mystery of Fuxian Lake

To this day, there are many legends and unsolved mysteries about Fuxian Lake.

Legend has it that divers sneaked into the deepest part of Fuxian Lake and found a large number of bodies.

Strangely, most of these bodies are standing sideways, with men leaning forward and women leaning back, as if they were deliberately placed, and they will swing back and forth with the current, which is very scary.

You know, before Fuxian Lake was closed, people drowned here every year. Its deepest point is over150m, and the bottom of the water is equivalent to a natural ice bank. The body sank into the deep water to form a hard protective shell, which kept the body intact and became an underwater mummy.

As early as in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, planes were killing people. In the 20th century, our military plane flew over Fuxian Lake, and suddenly the instrument failed, and the plane lost control and crashed into the lake.

It is said that Fuxian Lake is listed as an "aviation restricted area"! Generally, you can't fly over Fuxian Lake. When you have to go, you must keep a certain height and not fly low.

Legend has it that under the lonely mountain is the Dragon Palace, supported by ten golden pillars. There are many caves under the lonely mountain, and the fish in the lake often come here and appear in front of them.

In addition, there are many legends, such as seeing halo at night, fish in strange rocks, "big fish" in the lake, the existence of seahorses, vicissitudes of life and so on. But after all, the legend was processed and tampered with by later generations after word of mouth.
