When a stone is thrown into the pond, the ripples quickly spread around and will disappear in a short time. The problem is that when the stone fell, the ripples rippled and the circle expanded outward, and it did not disappear for a long time. Why is this unconventional phenomenon caused? What is the reason? Who has so much energy?

Of course, Ji Yun Jr. left this stone.

In Cangnan, Ji Yun Jr. is synonymous with photography, and news keeps appearing on him. This time, being listed as a "man of the hour" candidate has caused a lot of controversy. Some people don't understand: "How can a photographer get involved with the reformers?" Before this interview with Ji Yun Jr., a colleague once said to me, "Ji Yun Jr., this person is difficult to get along with, difficult to communicate with and difficult to write."

In order to understand why there is a magical stone on this photographer named Xiao, how this stone came into being, and what connection he has with this man of reform, and to accurately explain this photographer who thinks like a real artist and acts like a child, I recently came to the office of Xiao County Cultural Center.

Ji Yun Jr.' s face is always serious, but as long as he talks about topics that he finds interesting, his face will easily burst into a kind, wise and sharp smile.

In any case, Ji Yun Jr. sitting in front of me is still permeated with a gentle and honest atmosphere. Simplicity is a photographer's long-standing style in appearance.

Work needs, put down the brush and pick up the camera.

Xiao was born in 1962, Lingxi District, Pingyang County, which was still very remote at that time (now Cangnan County). Before he was one year old, he went to the more remote Taishun countryside with his parents who supported the mountainous areas. The hard life of childhood honed his hard-working mind and strong perseverance. He is the last educated youth in China and has a strong peasant complex. Ji Yun Jr. was studious when he was young. 1980 graduated from Zhejiang Yueqing Teachers College majoring in fine arts. After graduation, I worked as an artist in Taishun Film Company. At that time, he began to contact photography, but he wanted to be a painter. He wants to paint the world with brushes and pigments.

1983, because of the job transfer and the decision of the leader, he put down the brush and picked up the camera, which lasted for nearly 30 years.

Some people say that photography is just a simple photography skill, but Ji Yun Jr. regards it as a professional art with no regrets. He uses the camera as a brush and paints with his brain and heart. He firmly believes that "it is important to do, not to say." He worked silently like an old ox and soon found his own space in the light and shadow.

Wenzhou is a place where news comes out, especially Cangnan County, and it is also a very controversial place. Many unimaginable people and things have happened. Being in it, Ji Yun's views and thoughts on things have also undergone subtle changes with the development of society. How to grasp and express the essence of Wenzhou or Cangnan is a subject and a difficult problem.

Many photographers are not interested in taking pictures of things around them because they are too familiar. Ji Yun Jr. can observe and understand life with a bystander's mind. In order to take good photos, he works part-time in Wenzhou media twice, walks to work every day, constantly experiences, knows and captures photos on foot, and often waits for him in Wuma Street with a tripod like a fool. At home, people often lose their desire to think and act because of the comfort of their families. During his life in Wenzhou, Ji Yun Jr. thought about photography and photography every day. As a photojournalist, there is nothing more legitimate.

Little Ji Yun compared himself to Granny Liu who had just entered the Grand View Garden. She always keeps a fresh spirit and tries to find the feeling of Wenzhou to Cangnan. Ji Yun told me that this feeling is sometimes good, and sometimes it is really hard to find. An interesting phenomenon is that those photos that deliberately pursue perfect pictures no longer attract me. At that time, I felt that the messy records were of little value, but now it seems that there are many things to ponder. Therefore, I try to find something new in photography, that is, many concrete things that are often overlooked but can last forever.

Ji Yun Jr. said so and did the same. In the past 30 years, Ji Yun Jr. has taken tens of thousands of photos with his heart. His works have been selected for many times in international photography salons and competitions in Britain, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc., and won the Excellence Award in the British Brandy Photography Competition and the Bronze Award in the Photography Salon for Overseas Students. He has been selected for many national film exhibitions such as "China Art Photography Exhibition" and "Shanghai Third International Film Festival" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, and won more than 50 provincial photography awards. Published Selected Photographs of Xiao, Images of the Times-Xiao Juan and Wenzhou Native Land (cooperation).

Recently, Xiao has another graphic document "Wenzhou Road", which reflects the video record of 30 years of reform and opening up from the perspective of civilians, and will be published by Shanghai Jinxiu Article Publishing House.

There are many touching stories behind the photos.

Like a long-distance traveler, Ji Yun Jr., who was born in the "countryside", has been despised and laughed at many times. Life has turned many pure things into miscellaneous things, and all kinds of worldly troubles have troubled his steps. Seeking truth from facts, Ji Yun Jr. didn't give in, didn't give up, didn't stop, but devoted himself to his work, his pursuit, and many things he thought he should do.

During the period of 1994, he went to Guizhou to attend the annual meeting of national photography theory, and got the album "Project Hope Documentary" presented by Hailong, which aroused his strong sense of responsibility for the fate of out-of-school children, and he was determined to do something tangible for the local "Project Hope".

The arduous filming journey began. He rode a bicycle with his assistant, climbed mountains and climbed mountains, and got up early and got greedy for the dark. In order to ensure the quality, he tightened his belt and bought more rolls of film, putting himself in an awkward position. He spent one and a half yuan on Chinese food and was laughed at by his boss, but only gave dozens of dollars to those children who made him sad. Shooting in Cangnan, a land of disparity between the rich and the poor, Ji Yun Jr. was deeply touched. He recorded all aspects of poor children's life and study in detail with his lens, pen and heart. When his film "Documentary of Hope Project in Cangnan County" was exhibited in Lingxi County, it aroused strong social repercussions, and many units and individuals provided all kinds of help to the children and some schools in his works. What is even more touching is that the fate of a desperate child has been changed because of his photos.

The child's name is Chen Yan, and he comes from Juxi Town. At the age of four, he lost his father and his mother remarried. He lives with his grandparents, but he suffers from nephritis and lives on his grandfather 200 yuan's pension. A female writer in Inner Mongolia paired up with this child. When the writer came all the way to visit the child, Chen Yan Jr. was already dying ... Ji Yun Jr. began to run around for it again. Finally, local media reported that Yu Ying Children's Hospital and all walks of life extended a warm hand to Chen Yan Jr., and Chen Yan Jr. was saved. Ji Yun, Jr. felt extremely gratified. When he published his article "Plain is True" and his photo of "Project Hope" in China Photography, it caused a sensation. The comments published by the newspaper spoke highly of the small works and personality.

In 2006, a "fierce" flu made Ji Yun cough and caused him to vomit blood. He was hospitalized with acute pneumonia and has been discharged. Unexpectedly, he found that the small "nodules" in the lungs increased during the review, which was suspected to be "advanced lung cancer", so he was admitted to Run Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou for a comprehensive examination. He looks at the fixed scenery outside the window every day. He thinks this may be the last scenery of his life. He didn't disturb others, but covered up his inner sadness with his outward happiness. Half a month later, when the doctor announced that he ruled out cancer, he accidentally discovered a pituitary tumor. Because he couldn't have an operation immediately, Ji Yun Jr. was so busy that he couldn't leave the hospital by himself. The day after he returned to Cangnan, he began a three-month intravenous treatment.

At this time, the typhoon "Sang Mei" hit Cangnan. Without administrative orders and leadership requirements, a strong sense of mission drove Ji Yun Jr. to get up from his hospital bed again and again and rush to the disaster area. The working hours of the hospital are 8 o'clock. Ji Yun Jr. asked the nurse to go to work early for intravenous drip. The nurse on duty thought something was wrong. She was very surprised and confused when she learned that George W. Ji Yun was going to fight against Taiwan. "You can also resist Taiwan." Finally, the nurse moved and infused in advance according to Ji Yun's requirements. In this way, Ji Yun Jr. had an intravenous drip in advance in the morning, fought in the front line of anti-Taiwan during the day, and had an intravenous drip in his hospital bed at half past eleven in the evening. In others' eyes, Ji Yun, who is as strong as an ox, dragged his tired body and lay down for an injection, feeling a "comfortable" rest. After the typhoon, because the county magistrate called the roll, I went back to the disaster area to photograph people rebuilding their homes. For the first time, Zhejiang Pictorial used seven pages to make an in-depth report on the anti-mulberry of Cangnan people.

In June 2007, before and after pituitary adenoma surgery in Hangzhou, his youngest wife and son accompanied him to cross a hurdle again, and he re-engaged in his beloved work and life.

Afterwards, some friends praised Xiao's positive performance in this anti-Taiwan movement, but he didn't even catch an "advanced anti-Taiwan", which was abnormal. Ji Yun Jr. said, "It is our photographer's responsibility to record this once-in-a-century natural disaster, which is worth it."

Countless firsts, countless sweats and painstaking efforts.

From taking portraits, scenery and news; From photo photography to documentary photography, Ji Yun Jr. never allowed himself to explore freely in many photography categories.

What he called a "hodgepodge", which took tens of thousands of photos in nearly 30 years, solidified instantly, and finally has some special value today-a kind of non-renewable uniqueness endowed by history! This unique and meticulous interpretation once again explains the small photography life.

Ji Yun Jr. said that he liked the words "unique" and "first". "unique" and "first" mean that others have not done it, or they have done it first.

From 65438 to 0985, Ji Yun Jr. was named as "Top Ten News Figures in Cangnan County" for his outstanding contribution to Cangnan photography publicity and reporting, and "No.1" always accompanied him. Cangnan county took the lead in holding personal photography art exhibitions in Cangnan, Hangzhou and Wuhan; Xiao is the first Wenzhou photographer to hold a solo exhibition in Taiwan Province since the founding of New China. The accompanying cultural and economic exchange delegation of Cangnan County became the first major exchange between Cangnan and Taiwan Province Province since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Xiao also published his first collection of personal works in Taiwan Province. The first four sessions of Cangnan County were rated as top-notch professional and technical talents (the first, second, third and fifth sessions); Cangnan first joined the China Photographers Association; At that time, the only on-the-job title in the county (research librarian).

Ji Yun Jr. not only experienced and created countless firsts in photography, but also had many firsts in other aspects. As a Democrat, George W. Ji Yun actively participated in the discussion of state affairs with a strong sense of social responsibility, and recorded the great changes and historical changes of this society with his camera. He is the first person to be elected to the Standing Committee of CPPCC in the county for five consecutive years since 199 1, and the first person to be elected to the provincial people's congress in Cangnan literary and art circles.

In photography, Ji Yun Jr. is famous for telling the truth. The most noteworthy thing is Xiao Zai's impromptu speech on documentary photography at the annual meeting of national photography theory held by 1994 China Photographers Association. Because he insisted on his academic point of view, he "challenged" Mr. China's contemporary photographer-"Master Chen's landscape and documentary works have many fine works, but there are also a few pictures. If you don't indicate that it is a masterpiece, you may not be selected for the film festival. But I have never heard anyone criticize his works. It is good to be respectful and polite, but I am uneasy when I hear an unrealistic compliment. " Some words are more like a breeze blowing into the photography world.

This speech was also praised by the photography community as "the first young photographer to criticize the master's works in public". At that time, China Photography also published a news article entitled "Young People Challenge Masters".

As a photographer, Ji Yun Jr. is successful. However, if Ji Yun Jr. is measured by secular eyes, then I say that he is "unqualified" because he is too incapable of "uniting" others and "cliques"! In addition, living in a small county, Ji Yun Jr. is ignorant of current affairs and refuses all worldly contacts between friends and units; I have also heard him say that being an official will not be the object of his flattery, but pulling a scooter in the street will be his good friend. ...

These, combined with others' comments on Xiao: "This person is not easy to get along with", I find Xiao seems to be difficult to get along with and seems to be very easy to get along with; Others don't understand how much he has to do with the reformers, but I found that his self-proclaimed "hodgepodge" photo witnessed the social history of Wenzhou and Cangnan, and it is also a development history of Wenzhou and Cangnan in the past 30 years of reform and opening up.
