Do you want to kill pigs at Guilin funeral?

The funeral in Guilin will kill pigs.

Funeral refers to burial and mourning after death. Under normal circumstances, a thank-you ceremony will be held after the funeral, and pigs need to be killed during the meal. Guilin also wants to kill pigs when dealing with funerals.

The customs of Guilin Baishi;

Pull the body to the funeral home first, and then contact the funeral team that built the funeral shed. At dawn, a shed will be set up to receive relatives and friends who come to mourn. Call the next of kin and send a funeral report to the unit and filial children respectively.

Professionals set up Peng Ling, pull wires, set tables, chairs and benches, hang the portrait on a shady cloth, write black couplets on both sides of the portrait, put wreaths, set up the incense table, and begin to accept the memorial service of everyone. Every time there is a wave, a special person (relative) will raise a small whip to show that someone has come to worship.

In the past, people who came to mourn mostly sent quilts, sheets, cloth and other items, which were hung on bamboo poles in Peng Ling. Nowadays, money is given. People wrapped the libation in white paper with the names of mourners written on it and gave it to the person in charge of collecting money.

The custom here, no matter what the situation, does not drive away the funeral, nor does it say that there will be no more libation. After the funeral, it is absolutely impossible to collect another penny.

The mourners knelt on the cotton mat in front of the portrait, lit three incense sticks, raised their hands, kowtowed to the portrait once, twice and three times, then put the burning incense into the incense burner, burned some paper money in the brazier and finally got up. When people kneel and kowtow, the dutiful son with a white cloth on his forehead should kneel aside and kowtow with the rhythm of people's kowtow, representing the ancestors in return to show that he dare not.

Ordinary friends and distant relatives, the five guarantees and the infirm among close relatives, left after the sacrifice, and the vigil was often held by relatives and friends.

The funeral was held the next morning. Before going up the mountain, white flowers should be hung in front of every funeral car, and every driver should give a gift. When they arrived at the funeral home, the family of the deceased rented a farewell hall. The mourners put prepared white flowers at the door, stood in the farewell hall and listened to the eulogy of the dead unit leader. Then they walked slowly in turn in a sad voice, paying tribute to the remains of the deceased, shaking hands with the survivors, and then retreating to the door. Next, they wait for cremation.

Everything is ready, and undertaker returns by bus. But there is another rule, that is, you must take another road down the mountain, not the original road.

Finally, the family of the deceased held a thank-you ceremony in a hotel. In principle, all the people who sent the libation were required to come. If you can't come, remember to entrust someone else to bring back a gift box with birthday bowls, towels and gifts (he died before he was 60 years old, that is, as the saying goes, he was not qualified to give out bowls without passing the exam, only towels).

No matter how frugal the thank-you banquet is, you can't miss a bowl of tofu. So this kind of banquet is also called "eating tofu rice".

At this point, the ceremony of doing white things in Guilin basically ended.
