The first time I saw Paradise Cinema was through my elective course-Film Art Appreciation ... In fact, it was really a simple idea to choose this course before: Wow! At first, I couldn't sit still watching old movies or Italian I didn't understand, but after watching a classroom full of people, I was too embarrassed to run, so I had to continue watching. Before long, I was deeply moved by the warmth on my face. I have never been so intoxicated with a movie.

After being completely shocked by Paradise Cinema for a week, I was in no mood for class and vaguely looked forward to the next movie appreciation class. I finally sat in the second class. This time, I saw Seventeen-year-old Bike.

To tell the truth, if it was before, I wouldn't have the patience to watch such a depressed and impetuous film. But with the previous "Paradise Cinema" as a foreshadowing, I can really calm down and watch this movie seriously. After reading it, my biggest feeling is that China also has good works that can move people's hearts. Why didn't I notice it before?

Two short film appreciation classes have passed, but my love for movies has taken a new direction. I began to get more exposure to all kinds of classic movies, from which I felt a different wonderful world. Movies have unconsciously become my most important spiritual food.

After watching some movies, I gradually realized that film art is one of the greatest inventions of mankind. With these experiences, I began to understand that the commercial blockbusters I watched before were also a manifestation of film art, pursuing visual enjoyment and sensory stimulation. From Metropolis, the originator of this kind of movies, to Star Wars, which opened a new era, they are in the same strain and have their own merits. Until now, they dominate half of the film market, and they are just the tip of the iceberg of film art.

It is not difficult to understand why I reacted so strongly after contacting Paradise Cinema, because it brought me to feel another new world of film art, which is a brand-new and unprecedented experience. It is this movie that makes me understand the vastness and magic of the movie world, and my vision is no longer bound.

Since talking about movies, we have to talk about the right and wrong of domestic movies. When we talk about domestic movies, we often discuss the box office of the movie, who is the starring role, what gossip has happened recently and so on. Few people will discuss the artistic value of this film. I think there are two main reasons for this situation.

First of all, at the audience level, we often regard movies as a form of entertainment. Watching movies is just for fun, and there are so many entanglements. After watching Paradise Cinema, I also went to see some classic movies. At first, I wanted to share them with my friends in my dormitory. Once we watched 200 1 A Space Odyssey, and after watching it for less than ten minutes, he collapsed.

After I paved the way for Paradise Cinema, I was able to watch this boring film in their eyes with relish. From then on, they often laughed at me for it, and I laughed it off. Of course, after that, I watched these films alone in the middle of the night and never shared them with anyone. So the audience is realistic. If you don't cater to them, there will be no market. That's why our cinema has been rumbling, just like a playground. A magazine once introduced Xiaogang Feng as a thoughtful director. He joked, "I made so many New Year comedies just to trick the audience into the cinema in 1942." I think this is not only his joke, but also his helplessness.

So from the producer's point of view, what they want is to make money, and how to make money. Since the audience likes to watch popcorn, let's make popcorn movies again and again in another way. It's all about money. Look at our current movie market. Domestic movie box office is easy for billions. From the central government to the local governments, the media, large and small, are praising: China's film art has reached a new peak! Box office word of mouth double harvest! We don't lose American Hollywood movies! However, looking at the box office charts, almost no movie can arouse people's interest in watching it a second time, and more importantly, they are too lazy to watch it again. Such a film that tastes like chewing wax will be forgotten by the world after it is released. Of course, as far as producers are concerned, they don't care at all. They don't plan to shoot history, just make enough money. Occasionally, a director with a little idea like Xiaogang Feng will have to sigh.

Of course, this does not mean that domestic films are useless. Our problems also exist in other countries, but our performance is more extreme and irrational.

As the regulator of our life, it is understandable that movies are entertaining, but we should not forget that movies are also a great art, bearing the crystallization of civilization and wisdom.
